Maltby KE4 Forged Irons
Finally a forged iron design targeted at mid to lower handicap players that allows for weight adjustments to made directly to the club head to accommodate numerous shaft weight and length build specs. The KE4 Forged irons come with a factory installed 6 gram weight but can accept all of the KE4 Weight Adjustable System weights for unmatched adjustability and custom fitting options.
Form Forged from 1030C Carbon Steel, the Maltby KE4 Forged irons are a Super Game Improvement “blade” iron head design featuring MG (Micro-Groove) technology. U.S.G.A conforming MG groove technology places more grooves on the face than a traditional iron groove layout, improving spin rate consistency.
The cavity of the KE4 Forged iron features a double under-cut flange to optimize weight distribution for improved feel and playability. A “Tour” ground leading edge, front to back sole camber and optimal sole/bounce angles for each club helps to prevent digging through the impact zone.

I was playing MP59s and tried the KE4s with DG S300 Shafts. I listed the MP59s on Ebay the next day.
The KE4s feel buttery pure and are very forgiving when struck a little high on the face or toward the toe.

KE4 Forged

I had a 6 iron built with the FST 125 Pro shaft and what a combination. I was able to fade the ball draw the ball or hit it right down the middle. The ball rockets off the club face in my opinion and I would recommend these irons to anyone looking to improve their game. Maltby Irons are by far the best irons out on the market.

Forgiveness and Workability!

These heads are amazing in that they are both workable and easy to hit. The "thinner" top line and minimal offset allow you to shape shots but rarely lead to the wasted (poorly struck) shots a mid-handicapper like me will tend to have using a more traditional blade style iron. Still adjusting to the stronger lofts as they are a club strong for me but built them with KBS Tour Shafts Gap through 6 iron. Definitely a worthy project.
