Maltby KE4 ST-2 Driver Clubhead Specifications

Maltby KE4 ST-2 Driver is rated 4.6667 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome clubhead and the first review???? I got a chance to hit the St-2 driver last night. put the pack together with the KK Silver shaft. Tipped the stiff shaft 1" and assembled at 44 1/2." Used the 14 gram weight in the head to get the swingweight up. Had the pros at Golfworks hand pick the head. 9* of loft and 1* open face angle (when I miss it's a hook so the FA should help). Went to a range that I go to often that you actually hit into water. There is a plastic pipe that goes across at 280 yards. I was consistently flying the ball over that piece of pipe (all carry). At the end I took out a beat up Chrome + ball I had in the bag. Crushed it at least 15 yards over that pipe. Only wish I would've tried this head sooner! I cannot believe I am the first reviewer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NEVER JUDGE BY PRICE I went to a golf equipment dealers gathering to see what was new. There was a fund-raising booth and I spotted a driver that looked interesting. It was a Maltby CT-250. I bought it, not having heard of this brand. I took it to my local Golfsmith who told me it was quite a find. One of the salesman used that very model and had nothing but positive feedback. I took it out on my next session and it out-drove my big dollar driver. I'm upgrading to a new Aldila NV green shaft and oversized grip and looking forward to out driving my friends. Lesson here? Don't go by price, buy the club that does the job for you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks Good, Feels Good I've only had it at the range, but it looks real good at address and the ball feels real good off the face. I have nice control with it, and put a slight draw or fade when I want. The sound is a little "tinny", but that doesn't bother me a bit. I put this head on a UST Mamiya 65 Gold shaft, stiff.

I have a new in original packaging True Temper Sensicore driver shaft (335 tip) that I want to use with this head. Do I need any special shaft connectors and should I have a higher gram weight for the club head? Thank you!

Asked by: Quinteman
The adaptor is included with this clubhead and it will accept the .335" tip diameter shaft. You do not need anything else. As to whether or not you need heavier weights depends on what finished length you plan on making this driver, whether you use a heavier grip and what swingweight you find works best for you. The Sensicore wood shaft was suppose to weight 68 grams. At that weight into this 200 gram weight driver head and using a standard 50 gram weight grip and assembling to 45" finished length the swingweight should end up right in the D2 range.

In the picture we have the 52PW ferrule installed. Personally I use the 60PW ferrule and it also works well.

Do you have any drivers with 360 cc faces? 43 inch shaft length?

Asked by: arrow1
If you are asking for a clubhead size volume of 360cc's no we do not have any heads that size. There are not any manufactures making driver head size in the 360cc range these days. Assembling the driver to 43" is not a problem.

Which of the KE4 driver heads has the highest launch characteristics?

Asked by: Henny B
Generally, the KE4 ST-2 10.5 degree driver would have the highest launch characteristics. This can vary from player to player based on their swing, but the KE4 ST-2 in 10.5 has a more rearward cg, which can promote a higher trajectory.

I have an R580 driver with a r5 series stiff flex shat. The head got damaged and has a crack. What drive head would be the best for this shaft?

Asked by: Rustynail31850
The Taylor Made R580 driver used a .350" tip diameter shaft. All of our current driver heads use a .335" tip diameter shaft. We no longer have any drivers in stock that will accept a .350" tip diameter shaft.

We have had very good feedback from the Xcaliber Tour SL A flex shaft. It weights 46 grams and is designed to produce a mid/high trajectory. http://www.golfworks.com/product.asp_Q_pn_E_AS0026

How good would this club head be with a, Matrix Reign MGC 46 gram a shift

Asked by: Ramjet
This could be a very good combination. With the mid 40 gram weight shaft it could be good for someone with a slower swingspeed and a smooth tempo.
