Maxfli Sunday Stand Golf Bag is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy, compact 3 lb bag can hold full set The Maxfli Sunday Stand bag is one of the three best walking bags I have found, and I have tried a couple dozen. It really does weigh only 3 pounds, and that includes the stand and a snap-on cover. The other two bags that are very good for carrying are the Maxfli U/Series 3.0 and the Forgan St Andrews 1.7 lb Sunday bag. The two Maxfli bags have multiple spines to stand upright without the mouth collapsing. The Forgan has a single spine, but you can add a PVC thin wall pipe to the opposite side (one screw and nut at the mouth) and put a big grip putter in it and create a stand-by-itself bag. Then it becomes a matter of choice on the features. I will discuss the Maxfli Sunday stand bag below. The stiff mouth is padded circle with an inner diameter of 6.5 inches, and divided into 3 sections. Maxfli used some common sense to put a firm, padded horizontal divider across the top portion that is 5 inches across. You can easily put 4-5 clubs in this upper slot, as they do not get pinched along the sides like many of the smaller bags I have tried. Then there is a vertical divider from the bottom of the mouth up to the middle of the upper horizontal divider, thus forming a "T" of three slots inside the circular mouth. Again, the design of the two lower slots with the round mouth keeps clubs from getting caught against the sides of the mouth. And again you can put 4-5 clubs in each of the slots. I won't kid you - the result of carrying 14 clubs will be a snug fit, but not a forced fit. I carry a driver, fairway metal, ball retriever in the top section, #4-8 irons in one of the lower sections, and 9-iron, two wedges, and a oversized grip putter in the remaining third section. 12 items in all, and the three openings are quite accessible like this. The bag has five zippered pockets: one 19" long garment pocket, three 8-10" zippered ball, glove, water bottle pockets, and a 6" wallet/keys/cell phone pocket that will take two of the items, but not three. X-dual strap design is functional Top and bottom handles for putting the bag in and out of vehicles or on a cart, but this is too good a product not to use just walking. Towel ring with fuzzy patch to hang your golf glove onto. Cinch-up cord near the towel ring with a small strap at the base to carry an umbrella. The stand and legs are sturdier than most super-lightweight bags, and there are actually rubber feet on the legs to keep it from slipping or digging into soft turf. The Maxfli Sunday stand bag at $60 is truly one of the best values among the thousands of bags on the market.
