Nippon Shaft Specifications

Nippon N.S. Pro Modus3 Tour 120 .355 Tip Iron Shafts is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth, long and great trajectory! Installed in a few clubs to test... now I'm putting in all my irons. Smoother than the KBS Tour... with the trajectory of Project X. Simply the best iron shaft I've ever hit. Expensive, but well worth it.

What is the tip stiffness of these and the Modus 105?

Asked by: rjordan
Nippon lists the Modus 105 as a mid bend point mid trajectory shaft that would have a medium tip stiffness.

Thanks for your response earlier, you've been a great help. One final question: for my Honma TW717V 7 iron, should I purchase uncut 38" or 39"? Thanks again. David

Asked by: Vondave
For the 7 iron you need the 38.5" shaft.

I need N.S. Pro Modus? T 120 R shafts for Honma TW717V 6, 7 & 8 irons but Honma?s length specs don?t seem to match yours. Is this because their specs are for cut shafts and yours are uncut? Please clarify an indicate which shafts I need for these heads.

Asked by: Vondave
For the 6,7 & 8 irons you need to following raw length shafts. 6 iron - 39" 7 iron - 38.5" 8 iron - 38" You will install the shafts and then cut from the butt end to the finished length for each club. Honma would do it the same thing in their production operation.

HI, I currently use Mizuno Mp63 irons with DGS300 shafts. My driver swing speed is ~100mph and my swing has a quick transition. I am currently looking at the Srixon Z745 irons with the Nippon Modus 3 shafts. Which Nippon shaft? 120S or X, 125?

Asked by: George12345
Based on your 100 MPH Driver clubhead speed, the S flex. The X could also work based on your "quick transition" but without seeing your action in person and going only on your clubhead speed, I would say go with the Stiff Flex. We always suggest defaulting to the more flexible option if a player is borderline. The Modus 3 120 would be slightly lighter, only a few grams, and considered a low to mid trajectory shaft. The Dynamic Gold S300 is considered a low trajectory shaft.
