Steel Shaft Butt Extensions

The GolfWorks Steel Shaft Extensions can be used to extend the finished playing length of any steel shafted club. These 12" long steel butt extensions feature an 8 1/2" parallel mid sections that can be cut in the middle to create two 4 1/4" extensions. Each section has a tapered end to perfectly fit inside the shaft being extended. Each extension has a 1 5/8" shaft insertions depth and is chrome plated to prevent rusting.

Steel Shaft Butt Extensions is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sweet Add-On 4 Big Man.. Being a 6'3" guy with "monkey" arms. These cut to 1" extension brought my new/used irons to my old irons standard. No more slicing...sweet. Note one extension does 2 irons.

Can i to insert a butt extension ?560 into ?600 because it cut in the past about shaft extension.. ?580 is just little bit small...so I need a lot of glue around the butt or paper... Tell me a good idea for

Asked by: leonard
For a .600" butt diameter steel shaft you want to use the S60 steel butt extension. We would not recommend using any other size as they will not fit correctly.

How long are the extensions? I want to extend my 34 inch outt to 38 inch. It is a scotty cameron newport 2.6 what i belive is a .580 butt. Extending a putter 4 inch should not be an issua, am i correct?

Asked by: Javman
The extensions are 12" in total length with a parallel mid section or extension length of 8 1/2". It is ok to extend a putter by 4" using these extensions. I would recommend using epoxy to secure the extension in place.

My iron shaft steel it measures ?15.2 ?external and ?14.5 internal i know i need the .600 steel butt extension , but my iron ?7 is strange internal measure ?13.5 and external ?15.2..what i do? thanks

Asked by: leonard
Possibly the 7 iron shaft is not perfectly round. It is not uncommon when measuring a shaft with calipers to get different measurements as you rotate the shaft. The outside measurement tells us the 7 iron should be the same as the rest of the set. If the 7 iron shaft is the same brand as the rest of the set it should use the same extension unless something was added inside the butt end of the shaft. Possibly a butt extension that was then cut off flush at the top of the shaft. Another thing to check would be the thickness of the shaft walls at the butt end of the shaft.

I have Callaway Diablo Edge steel shaft golf clubs that I need to lengthen 1.5 inches, but I do not know what size butt extensions I need. Can you tell me which size I need to order for these?

Asked by: Glink90
You would need to order a .600 (S60)steel extension to extend the Callaway Diablo Edge iron shafts. If you need the iron shafts to be 1 1/2 longer in length, I would suggest that you install new shafts. It is not recommend to extend any club more than 1".

I need shaft extension and grip but i don't know if i need 580 or 600; which measures i must take...then, the epoxy glue need hot before application and it clean with petrol thank you good bye

Asked by: bianconileonardo
It is best to take this measurement using a pair of calipers and measure the outside diameter of the shaft right near the top end of the shaft. It it measures .600" then you would need the S60 extension. If it measures .580" then you would need the S58 extension. The epoxy does not need to be hot. You will need to sand the extension where it goes into the shaft and clean the inside walls of the shaft before installing the extension.

I want to extend irons with Nippon 1180GH shafts. what butt size are these shafts. thanks,

Asked by: algo
I do not have specific information on the 1180GH but based off their other standard weight shafts I would expect it to be .600". I believe it was made for a specific club manufacture.
