Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sweet Add-On 4 Big Man.. Being a 6'3" guy with "monkey" arms. These cut to 1" extension brought my new/used irons to my old irons standard. No more slicing...sweet. Note one extension does 2 irons.

what size are adams a12os hybrid iron set 4 5 &6are graphite 7-gw are steel. they are labeled idea liteweight R flex. need to know for extensions & grips. thanks Dukie

Asked by: Dukie
For the Steel shafts the extension would be the S60 for a .600" butt diameter shaft. For the graphite shafts we do not know which extension you would need. The inside diameter measurement with graphite shafts vary a lot more with the different weight graphite shafts. You would need to measure the inside diameter of the graphite shaft and match it to the correct color coded size. http://www.golfworks.com/product.asp_Q_pn_E_GW4000 http://www.golfworks.com/product.asp_Q_pn_E_S60 For standard size grips you would need .600" core size grips.

what size extension do you use for calloway x22 irons??

Asked by: henry21
The S60 is a general purpose extension for steel shafts. It should fit most stock steel shafts. Without knowing the exact inside dimension of the steel shaft in the X22 irons, it is difficult to be absoutely sure of the fit. The S60 extensions can not be used on graphite shafts.

Could you please tell me what size I should power for an Odyssey putter. ?THANKS

Asked by: Longiron07
Different Oyyssey putters could have different butt diameters. The Odyssey Replacement shaft is a .580" butt diameter which would use the S58 butt extension. .580" was for years the common butt diameter for putter shafts.

Most of the newer steel L flex shafts would be .580" butt diameter but the has been .560" in the past. If you can tell us which steel L flex shafts you have we might have that Information.

What size extension is required for an older set of Mac Gregor Tommy Armour 985 irons.I want to bring them up to modern standard in lengths. I was thinking about the .560 ?? thanks Steve K

Asked by: scraper
If they are Stiff shafts then they should be a .600" butt diameter and would use the S60 extension. If they are R flex they maybe a .580" butt diameter which would use the S58 extension. With older taper tips the R flexes were often .580" butt diameter especially if they were a standard weight shaft. They would not be a .560" shaft unless they had an L flex shaft.

How do I measure the butt end to get the right size extension

Asked by: tdizzle
If it is a steel shaft you can use a pair of Calipers to measure the outside diameter and order the matching size extension. S60 is for a .600" butt diameter shaft. If you can tell us what steel shaft and flex you have there is a good chance we can tell you which size extension you need. If it is a graphite shaft you would need to use the Calipers to measure the inside diameter of the butt end of the shaft and match that size to the extension size. http://www.golfworks.com/product.asp?pn=GDC

I have a set of beginner clubs(Prosimmon x9 1" over) the shafts are steel stiff flex and I need to extend them. I cant find anywhere that tells me what diameter they are. ?Any chance you could tell me the diameter. ?Thanks

Asked by: ttexas
I was unable to find any specific information as to which shaft they use in these sets but an educated guess tells me the steel shaft will have a .600" butt diameter, which is the most common in a box set, and you would need the S60 (.600") shaft extensions. http://www.golfworks.com/product.asp_Q_pn_E_S60
