Grafalloy Prolite 35 HL Golf Shaft Specifications

Grafalloy ProLite 35 HL Graphite Wood Shaft is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Changes Everything (for the better) I have an average 103 MPH driver swing speed, moderate tempo and shallow attack angle. I had been using Proforce 65 Gold's but the Graphalloy Prolite 35 HL is just what I needed in my fairway woods (3,5,7.) The ball lauches higher(without ballooning)and carries about 10 yards farther. Directional accuracy is better than with the Proforce 65 shafts. I just can not flex these Proforce shafts properly as swing speed is decreasing. I love the feel of these Prolite shafts and this translates into confidenece. I could not be more pleased with these shafts after the first few weeks of use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shaft I got this shaft and put it into a '09 Burner head and am really diggin' it. The shaft I replaced was the stock TM regular flex which was just too whippy for my 105 MPH swing speed. I feel like I have much better control of the head and club face with this shaft and really like the feedback. I don't notice the shaft launches the ball any higher. Just regular trajectory for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb I am normally a low ball hitter. So I was looking for a shaft that will get the ball up. This shaft got the ball up to a perfect hight that sent it very deep for me. I had it assembled by Golfworks with the Maltby KE4 SSF1 driver head. Together, the flight of the ball is presicely straight. Absolutely fantastic.

what is the difference between Grafalloy Procustom, Prolite and Attack lite ?

Asked by: spencer
The ProCustom weights 70 grams at 48" raw length on the R/S flex. Torque is 5 degrees and it is designed to produce a high ball flight. The ProLite HL is 66 grams at 46" raw length on the R flex. Torque is 4.8 degrees and it is designed to produce a high ball flight. The Attack Lite is 66 grams at 45" on the R flex. Torque is 4.5 degrees and it is also designed to produce a high ball flight. I have personally hit all three of these shafts and played the Attack Lite in a driver for 5 years. To me they are very similar in how they play when they are all cut for installation. The ProCustom to me plays a little more flexible then the other two when comparing the same shaft flex.

Will this shaft fit my ping i15 3wood ? If so, can golf works cut and prep shaft to specific length so I would just need to assemble and grip ? Cost ?

Asked by: Low and slow
The I15 3 Wood used a .350" tip diameter shaft. You will need to use the BB9048 Ping Adaptor to size the .350" hosel bore down to a .335" size for this shaft. At this link, where you order the shaft you can check the box at the bottom for Tip and Butt Trim and this will be your shaft prep. The cost of the shaft prep is $4.95. At Checkout in the Special Notes box tell us what length you want to assemble this 3 wood to and we will cut it to your finished length. Place your order for the adaptor at this link. Order the one that says .335".

I am an older golfer and need the senior flex. Some call it light and I don't know if "A" flex is equal to senior flex/

Asked by: FJoe
The "A" flex designation does indicate a Senior or Light flex. Most manufacturers still use the "A", but some use "Light" as the designation for a Senior flex. Senior flex is softer than a standard mens regular flex.

What are the tip trimming guidelines for this shaft? For instance, how much will tip trimming to different lengths, e.g. 0.5" ? 2," influence the effective flex that the shaft plays at? My swing speed is about 106mph and I usually play X-flex if it helps.

Asked by: Will W
The ProLite HL shaft calls for 0 tip trimming for a driver. It does nt come in an X flex, but because it has a 4" parallel tip section length, you could trim the S flex 1" from the tip to make the S play more like an X. After tip trimming, you would install and cut the butt end to the final club length.

Is this a driver shaft only or can it be used in fairway woods as well?

Asked by: lpaws
The ProLite HL can be tip trimmed to use in fairway woods. The trim code is W2. You can use this chart to determine how much to trim depending on the # fairway wood it is being installed into.
