True Temper Multi Step Lite Steel Iron Shaft Specifications

True Temper Multi Step Lite Steel Iron Shafts is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic I just reshafted a sand wedge for my 12 year old nephew with the Multi Step Lite shaft. The shaft was installed with a bit less than ladies flex and a assembled length of 34.25 inches. The performance of this club is outstanding. I play a stiff to extra stiff shaft and hit this club with precision. My nephew hit almost every ball high with a soft landing. I still can't get over it. I highly recommend this shaft.

the cut length for these shafts don't appear to coincide with the cut lengths on the True Temper site...ie. the 6 Iron should be tip trimmed 2.5". The link on the GW page indicates it should be 2", unless I'm looking at the chart wrong? Which is correct?

Asked by: crandyl
I am not seeing what you are seeing. I see 2.5" for a 6 iron on both our chart and True Tempers chart. The R flex follow IR25 and the S flex IR26. L flex IR25 and A flex IR14. When I look at these everything matches up to what I see on True Temper's site.

Iam 80 years old and have trouble getting my irons higher in the air - would these shafts help?

Asked by: Russ A
The Multi-Step shafts could help. In a steel shaft I would also recommend the FST 90 (FS0011) which is a lighter weight shaft then the Multi-Step which could also help. http://www.golfworks.com/product.asp?pn=FS0011 You might also consider a graphite shaft as they can be both ligher and more flexible then steel shafts which can help. A shaft like the Aldila Value Series could work well. (VXIAL) http://www.golfworks.com/product.asp?pn=VXIAL

I have some Callaway Diablo Edge irons (Regular flex) that my wife is using. Problem being her swing speed is pretty slow. I would say 60-70mph, if that fast. I want to re-shaft the clubs with a shaft that would work well for her. Any suggestions?

Asked by: Johnpjr
If you are looking for a steel shaft the True Temper Multi-Step is the only steel shaft we have that is available in an L flex. It is a good shaft and could work well. In graphite shaft a shaft like our LTech shafts, which we offer in 3 different Ladies flexes could work well. We offer it in a LL flex which is more flexible then a standard Ladies flex. We have a standard L flex and also an A flex which could be used for ladies or Senior Men. http://www.golfworks.com/product.asp?pn=MA0209

Looking for a steel shaft to repair a Acuity 9 iron. Parallel tip/ .370 inches. Steps are 2 inches. Does Golf Works have anything comparable.?

Asked by: Kibby
2" steps would be the True Temper Command and it would be the type of shaft used in the Acuity clubs. http://www.golfworks.com/product.asp?pn=TT201103

will these shafts fit a Mizuno MP 53 irons head?

Asked by: Fiona
The MP53 head requires a taper tip .355 shaft. The TT0061 shaft is a parallel tip .370", so it will not fit the MP53 head. You might look at the XP Series from True Temper, which are available in 3 weight options and are .355" taper tip.

Hi! I'm looking for a steel stiff shaft for a TaylorMade Burner 2.0 7-iron. The specs on TM's site show the length of this club is 37". However, I'm unsure if this is the length of just the shaft or if it include the iron head. Please help! Thank you!

Asked by: JDR2682
The 37" length listed on the TM web site is for finished length. The shaft length is measured in the playing position after the shaft is installed.

Do you have a steel shaft that cross references to the 85 gram Rocket Fuel by Taylor Made??

Asked by: Chester12
I have some spec's from Taylor Made's Speedblade 85 shaft that show you could use either the FST 90 A/R flex if you are needing an R flex or you could use the KBS Tour 90. The KBS Tour 90 matches closer of the two shafts to the Speedblade 85 which I would expect to would be similar to the Rocket Fuel 85. http://www.golfworks.com/product.asp?pn=FS0024 http://www.golfworks.com/product.asp_Q_pn_E_FS0011
