True Temper Score LT Steel Iron Shaft Specifications

True Temper Score LT Steel Iron Shafts is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect Match! I bought these about a month ago to replace a similar shaft with a different flex. These Score LT Steel shafts have performed just as I expected. I notice the desired consistency with every club.

Can this shaft be tipped to an A flex?

Asked by: jrob
Possibly, depending on your set makeup. You would need to be able to tip trim 1.5" less then what the R flex instructions call for. If you set starts with a 5 iron it could be done.

I had the score LT with R flex in a set of TE. They ballooned like crazy on me especially in windy conditions. I'm actually an S flex with a 90 mph 6 iron ss. Is the S flex a higher bend and stiffer tip resulting in less spin?

Asked by: MC1979
The Score LT in an S flex is still a shaft designed to produce a high trajectory. You would need shafts with a higher bend point and firm or stiff tip to produce a lower trajectory.

I'm 75 years old. Carrying a 8.2 index handicap. And using the TTGold #300 stiff shafts in all my Irons. Am thinking of going to a Regular Flex shaft for more "feel and distance". I have no problems getting the ball up. Will these Shafts in R Flex help me

Asked by: Bob75
The Score LT could work well and the feedback has been very good from this shaft. If you are reshafting your existing irons you will need to know if your irons use a .370" parallel tip shaft. The Score LT is only available in a .370". Many irons use a .355" taper tip shaft. At this link you can look up the irons you have to see what tip diameter shaft they use.

Looking for a shaft to replace the shafts in an old set of Ping Eye2 irons. I will be replacing Ping ZZ Lite shafts. Is the TT Score LT a suitable replacement shaft?

Asked by: Dave61
Ping Eye 2 irons use a .355" taper tip shaft and the Score LT is only available in a .370" parallel tip shaft. It will not fit into the Ping Eye 2 irons. To use the Score LT the iron heads would have to be reamed or rebored to accept a .370" parallel tip shaft. We stock a number of .355" taper tip shafts from True Temper, Royal Precision, KBS, Nippon and Apollo that could be used in the Ping Eye 2 irons.

I have purchased the MMB17 iron heads, 4-GW. How can I accurately order these shafts and have them fitted for me (Tip & Butt trim plus soft/hard stepping if needed) without coming in to have a fitting?

Asked by: kiwirst
If you know how you would like these shafts trimmed for flex whether soft stepped or hard stepped you can give that information to customer service as part of your order. You could include it in the Special Notes box at Checkout if you are placing your order on line. If you need help in determining what flex you need these shafts you could call Customer Service at 1-800-848-8358 and they would be glad to help you as well as help you with the order.

I'm trying to replace a broken 2012 Taylormade RBZ steel iron shaft with as close of playing characteristics. Would this Score LT or is there something closer to matching the OEM shaft? RBZ has a 0.370 parallel tip and is for a 7 iron.

Asked by: qcrash
Yes the Score LT could make a good replacement for the Taylor Made RBZ irons. It is a similar weight and playing characteristics. Taylor Made actually used FST shafts for their stock steel shafts and the FST 115 (FS0012) would also be a very good replacement.

Will these my Maxfli Australian Blades? I have the most recent blade model with the "straight" letters and only "Maxfli" and "Australian Blade" written on them. I am not sure what hosel size they are.

Asked by: arvand
The TT Score LT shafts are parallel tip .370. The information we have is that the Maxfli Australian Blades required a .355 taper tip, so the TT Score shafts will not work in these heads.

I have a natural high launch even with my DGS300 - So I don't need a shaft to promote higher flight - if I hard step the Score shaft how will this impact flight pattern and distance?

Asked by: Drowe2817
The characteristics of the Score LT are designed to produce a high ball flight, possibly higher then with the Dynamic Gold S300 that you have. The raw length of the Score LT at 41" does not leave much room with most clubhead designs to do additional tip trimming or hard stepping to make the S flex play stiffer.
