I have played the older model XP Tour reg flex. How does the XP95 compare. I am 64 years old and my swing speed is between 80-85 mph.

Asked by: DixieDave
I am 75 years old and have switched to the XP95,reg flex. I find my ball flight is better with more roll out. The weight difference,at 93 gm, was one factor in switching. My swing speed is between 85-90 and found it much easier to control ball flight, direction and distance. I am a club builder at a golf course and have helped some older golfers with the steel weight and distance by switching them to the XP95 series. Hope this helps you.

What matches up ?now with the Dynamic Gold XP r300 in the true temper line and a possible replacement in the the AreoTech line. I am trying to re shaft some Mizuno JXP 825 pro's

Asked by: CharlieO
If you are referring to the old Dynalite Gold XP r300, the new True Temper XP105 would be a slightly lighter option with similar bend point and tip stiffness. The True Temper XP 115 would be closer in weight, but would be a medium tip stiffness and mid bend point. In the AeroTech line, the SteelFiber 110 would be slightly lighter than the Dynalite Gold XP, and would have a stiffer tip section and higher bend point.

can you get this shaft in senior regular?

Asked by: Troy
No the XP is not available in a Senior flex (A flex). You could soft step the shafts in installation by 2 clubs and this would soften the flex by a half a flex. This means installing the 3 iron shaft (40") into the 5 iron and the 4 iron shaft into the 6 iron and so on down the line. When you butt cut to your finished length the shaft (R300) would play a half a flex more flexible or between an A and R flex.

Is there a difference between the xp 95 and the standard Dynamic Gold Regular shaft

Asked by: Paul17
The difference in weight is 34 grams, which should translate a feel difference. The XP95 has a low bend point and softer tip section. The Dynamic Gold has a high bend point and and stiff tip section. When comparing, these varying characteristics would suggest that the two shafts should feel different from each other and provide different ball flight characteristics.
