Trimming Instructions

Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue Graphite Iron Shafts is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shaft Have fitted Graffaloy Blue Iron shafts into my 4,5,6 irons and have been very happy with results. Picked up 10 yards on each iron and the distance comes effortlessly. Just a smooth easy swing and the ball takes off. Like the way the club feels now, replaced steel with graphite so there is more of a heavy head feel. I know where the clubhead is throughout the swing, a nice feeling. Plan on replacing my 7 iron next. These shafts are not cheap but I guess you get what you pay for.

Can these fit Callaway X12's properly? ?Where to I find trim instructions?

Asked by: Desert Canuck
These will work in the Callaway X12 irons but you will need to cut the slots that Callaway used in the tip end of the shaft so that the .370" shaft compresses down to a .350" size where it comes through the bottom of the clubhead. For trimming instructions subtract 1" from what is listed in Iron Trim Code IR25 at this link so that you will maintain the shaft stiffness when installing these into a bore through. http://www.golfworks.com/images/art/shaft_trim_inst.pdf

Can you add a tip for my RBZ 2 Driver. ?How do I order it. ?What is the cost?

Asked by: wondering
We can install the tip (TM0020) for the TM RBZ 2 Driver on the shaft. We would need to know the setting you want the adaptor set to before installation. The cost would be the cost of the shaft, plus the cost of the adaptor, plus $10.00 to prep the tip of the shaft and install the adaptor. This does not include cutting the shaft to playing length and installing a grip. The best way to order this service would be to call 800-848-8358 and talk to one our staff and have them take the order for you.

i want to put Grafalloy ProLaunch graphite shafts in my Titleist AP 1 irons 5 through GW. How do I order proper lengths for my iron set?

Asked by: warpath golf
We only carry the Grafalloy ProLaunch in a .370 parallel tip 41" blank that is tip trimmed for flex and then butt trimmed for the playing length. The Titleist AP1 irons require a .355" taper tip shaft. Depending on the model of taper tip shaft you choose, the lengths you will need for the 5 thru GW can vary. Generally, if the taper tip shafts you choose come in 36.5" - 40" for example, you would use the 36.5" shaft for the GW and PW (assuming the PW and GW are the same head weight), then use the 37" for the 9, 37.5" for the 8, etc. the shafts would be installed with no tip trim, then they would be cut to final playing length from the butt.

When installing the Iron prolaunch blue shafts being that they were made with the help of a launch monitor which way would you place the shaft in the hosel letters to the 12 o'clock positions 3,6 9 o'clock position? Do the shafts have a spine?

Asked by: Dean
In order to know if you wanted to install the shaft in the 12, 3, 6 or 9 o'clock positions you would have to have the shaft Pured, http://www.golfworks.com/article.asp?ai=495 or some how spine tested to know for sure which is the best position to install the shaft. Shaft manufactures do not pretest and mark the shafts.

Will the Grafalloy Prolaunch blue graphite shaft .370 adapt to Ping irons, g25, g30

Asked by: Doctor
The Ping G25 and G30 irons both require a .355" taper tipped golf shaft. The Pro Launch Blue parallel iron shafts will not fit into either of the head models without having the heads reamed to .370". UST, Aldila and X-Caliber all offer .355" taper tipped shafts that will work in the G25 and G30 irons. http://www.golfworks.com/category.asp_Q_pc_E_2_A_c_E_10013_A_c2c_E_ln
