Trimming Instructions

True Temper Dynamic Gold .370" Steel Iron Shafts is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Accurate These shafts are the most accurate and consistant I've found. Been using them for over 20 years. I changed out my graphite shafts in my hybrid irons and woods (the hosel on my 3 wood hybrid takes a .370 diameter) for better online shots and consistant yardages. The only con is the extra wieght but the trade off for accuracy saves me a stroke or two per round!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally Well i got a shaft that works with my Maltby TE irons. If you think the X300 is a telephone pole your wrong. Med high ball flight, soft good feel with spin. I was nervous at first by thinking they would be to stiff but they are the best shaft i hit so far.

The shaft in my Calloway 20X nine iron loosened up and came out, shaft is bent slightly and needs to be replaced. There is ?a brass insert in shaft (steel true temper) can you advise which shaft would replace and could you prepare a shaft for me?

Asked by: Frenchfry
The Score LT steel shaft that we sell was actually initially a shaft made for Callaway and would be the best replacement for the listed stock shaft. It might even be the same shaft. (TT0100) The brass insert is a weight that was added to the tip of the shaft to get the club to the correct swingweight. You can heat the tip of the shaft and remove the weight so that it can be used again with the new shaft. Yes we can prepare the shaft for you. You can request a shaft prep with your order. There is an additional charge of $4.95 for this service. If you order on line put the information for the shaft prep in the Special Notes box at Checkout.

What is the normal shaft length (without head) for a pitching wedge?

Asked by: Ray C
That would depend on what type of clubhead the shaft is installed into. Clubheads have differernt length hosels with a pretty standard bore depth (1.25") but this makes for different bottom of bore to ground line measurements which would effect the length of the shaft needed to create a standard length PW. If you clubhead design had a 1" bottom of bore to ground line measurement and you wanted a finished length with the head installed for a PW to be 36" the shaft would have to be 35" long. Some heads have a 1.25" bottom of bore to ground line and others measure in the 1/2" range and these different designs would effect the shaft length need to make a standard length. You can measure the bottom of bore to ground line by first measuring the raw length of a shaft. Then insert the shaft into the clubhead, in this case the PW, and measure the length of the club. Subtract the raw length of the shaft from the measurement of the club length. The difference is the bottom of the bore to ground line measurement. If you can tell us which clubhead you have we should be able to tell you what length the shaft would need to be.

What does C1M mean?

Asked by: Tigershistory
C stands for Control. We sort the shafts by weight. Lighter for distance and heavier for control. 1 stands for a lower ball flight which is controlled by the bend point and tip stiffness of the shaft. M means it is a neutral shaft that would not help correct a Hook or Slice. The Hook and Slice come more into play with graphite shafts where torque ratings vary a little more then they do with steel shafts and can have a minor effect on correcting a hook or slice.

I need a 7 iron shaft for a Mizuno MP 19 forged cavity head. The original shaft is a True Temper Dynamic Gold Sensicore S 300 flex. What would be the closest shaft you stock to those specs and can you provide the Sensicore insert for myPro to install.

Asked by: kennythestinger
In checking our computer I find that we still have some Dynamic Gold S300 with Sensicore shafts still available. You will need the .355" taper tip which is the shaft shown at this link. You want the 38" S300 which is also marked for the #7. The Mizuno MP-19 irons use a .355" taper tip shaft.
