what does PX and SD mean on project x 5.5 hybrid shafts

Asked by: Mosamidon
PX simply is short for Project X. SD is not familiar and in looking at the shafts we have in stock, we did not see "SD" on any stock Project X shafts. If you have a Project X that was a proprietary design or a a model that was not in the stock offering, conceivably it could have some other letters or designations on it, but have no information on "SD".

Have a Bridgestone #2 Hybrid with a 6.0 Project X shaft is this a 355 tip or a 370 tip

Asked by: James
It depends on which Bridgestone hybrid that you have. The J33 Hybrid was a .355" taper tip shaft and all their other models use a .370" parallel tip shaft.

I am a senior with a 70 mph 7 iron swing. What shaft would you recommend for my irons?

Asked by: PJ1120
Some of the shaft choices would be somewhat dictated by which irons you play. Some irons use a .355" taper tip and others use a .370" parallel tip shafts. Shafts to look at would be the UST Recoil 460 (US0095) or 660 (US0072), Xcaliber (AS0023), Kuro Kage Black 2nd Gen Iron (MR0046) or the new AldaLite (AL0056). If you need a .355" taper tip then shafts like the SteelFiber 70cw (AT0020I), UST Recoil 65 (US0100) or the Xcaliber (AS0028) could work well.

I play Callaway CF 16 with a KBS Tour 90 stiff shaft. Swing speed is 90-95. I have a Titleist 712 U 3 iron but want a graphite shaft in the club. Looking for some suggestions for a nice shaft in this club that will work. Thanks

Asked by: Blakr
The Titlesit 712 U #3 iron uses a .355" taper tip shaft and there are almost no .355" taper tip hybrid shafts available. This Project X Hybrid would be one of them. The Project X Hybrid shaft is being discontinued. If the shaft is listed as backordered it really means it is out of stock in this case and we will not be getting any more in stock. The 5.0 flex could work for your swingspeed. You could also install a graphite iron shaft with a .355" taper tip. Shafts like the Aerotech Steel Fiber and UST Recoil have .355" taper tips available in different shaft weights.
