Royal Grip Sand Wrap Grip Specifications

Royal Grip Sand Wrap Golf Grip (Buy 6 Get 6 Free) is rated 4.75 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Royal Grip - Sand Wrap I've used these grips for many years. They don't slip in hot/humid conditions, are VERY durable, and don't eat-up gloves like cords. Back in 2006 these were used by P. Michelson. Danny Edwards owned the company back then and they became in short supply. They could not keep up with demand and Edwards outsourced manufacturing to another group, who also could not meet demand. They paid Edwards for breaking their contract, but he had too many unhappy customers and pros migrated to other more reliable sources (mostly Golf Pride). Lampkin then bought Royal Grips (demand remains high in Japan) and demand never recovered in the US.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These grips are Wonderful--I'm glad I bought them I've been playing a Lamkin grip that has been discontinued so I've been searching for something close to it. These grips have been great. They have a great feel, and allow me to have better touch around the greens. I would highly recommend them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great feel I've used these grips for many years. I play at least 150 rounds a year, so I regrip my clubs more frequently than a lot of people. I've tried other newer grips that are being hyped on-line, but I always come back to these as my favorite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great feel. These grips give you a great feel and a confidence in your club grip without the sticky feel that some grips have. Try some, I think you will like them as much as I do.

How many layers of tape on .580 shafts to make these grips play as midsize?

Asked by: HennyB
If you are installing these .580" core size grips on a .580" butt diameter shaft you will need 6 build up wraps of BU2 Build Up tape. If you are installing the .580" core size grips on .600" butt diameter shafts you will need 4 build up wraps to get to a mid size.

Hello I.have ZZ lite shafts. Does the 580 core work or do I need 600. Thanks.

Asked by: Haider
ZZ Lite shafts are a .600 butt diameter shaft. If you want a standard grip size you would use the .600" core size grip. Using the .580" core size grip on the .600" butt diameter shaft will make the grip size +1/64" larger then standard. A standard grip measures .900" and +1/64" oversize measures .915".

Can I wrap these up to midsize or jumbo with tape and still be able to slid grip on

Asked by: BigTim321
You could definitely build them up to mid size and install them. I would think you could still get jumbo as well but you might need a BBGIT to help get them started over the butt end of the shaft. http://www.golfworks.com/the-ultimate-grip-installer-tool/p/BBGIT/
