The GolfWorks Maximum Strength Quick Set Epoxy

Recommended By The GolfWorks Staff!

The GolfWorks Maximum Strength Quick Set Epoxy is the strongest “5 minute” epoxy available, specifically formulated for metal wood and iron club assembly. Standard “5 minute” epoxies are only recommended for putter assembly and temporary emergency repairs. With a full cure lap shear strength of 2900 psi and a usable cure time of 15-30 minutes, the Maximum Strength Quick Set Epoxy eliminates the need for unreliable one part cyanoacrylate adhesives and is much more reliable than standard “5 minute” shafting epoxies with average lap shear strengths of 1500 psi. Maximum Strength Quick Set is black in color with a mix ratio of 1:1. Thumb plunger for dispersion is included.

Available in 50ml cartridges, 4 oz (2) bottles and 200ml cartridges. Note the 200ml cartridges require VB1028 Epoxy Gun

The GolfWorks Maximum Strength Quick Set Epoxy is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great For Adjustable Hosel Clubs I've gone through 3 tubes of this over the past 3 years and have not had 1 single failure. I use this specifically for all my TaylorMade Loft Sleeve Shafts adapters. For Drivers/Fairways/Hybrids with Graphite I use Quick Set 2900psi For Iron/Wedge steel shaft builds I go with the High Impact 4500psi Both Golfworks Products are fantastic!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Failure inevitable Once again this epoxy has failed. The shaft and adapter where prepared by the book. I gave this epoxy 24 hours to cure in a 70 degree room. The shaft completely spun out of the adapter with the first ball hit the same thing happened last year same product same adapter. Do not buy this product it is total garbage.

I purchased this to repair a wedge and the plunger broke in my hand.  How much force do you need to make this work?

Asked by: DWY
If the epoxy is kept at room temperature, the force needed to dispense the epoxy should not be enough to break the the plunger. If the epoxy had been in a cooler or cold environment, it would be more difficult to use the plunger. It really is meant to be dispensed at a normal room temperature, approximately 72 degrees.

Does this epoxy use a 1 to 1 mix  and  plunger?

Asked by: Toyman
No this uses the 2:1 plunger. All the Maximum Strength Epoxies use the 2:1 plunger.
