How does the heat rod work?

Asked by: Bruce
We would heat the tip end of the rod with a propane torch, usually red hot but it can vary depending on just what we are heating. If I were using it to remove a steel shaft from an iron, hybrid or metalwood I would heat the tip end red hot and insert the rod down inside the shaft all the way to the bottom and allow the heat to break the epoxy bond from inside the clubhead. We use to use these heating rods for removing wooden wood heads from steel shafts. It was a must have type of tool back in those days but these days we do not use them very often.

Is it possible to use it on Graphite Shafts?

Asked by: Mario
3/16" would be to big to fit inside the tip end of the graphite shafts. We have this Ram Rod for graphite shafts. http://www.golfworks.com/the-golfworks-44-1-2-ram-rod/p/RR/
