Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shafts I had Rifle Project X 5.0 shafts in my irons. With turning 70, I decided to re-shaft my irons with Areotech Steelfiber 80 Graphite shafts. I now hit my irons farther, more accurately. Great shafts!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great for controlled distance I put this shaft in my Ping S56 wedge. Goes about 5 yards longer than steel shafts..goes straight too..only problem is around the greens..if you don't spend time learning the feel of the flex, it's tough to cozy up to the pin...the next heavy shaft in this line would be better for short distance control..Stressdoc

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Areo tech I80 graphite I got a set of arrow tech I80 graphite soft stepped them into a set of Ping G irons ,only played a few times with them but they are longer then my I20 graphite stock shaft. If you are wanting a bit of leg up on your playing partners you could try this, a large improvement for me , Peter age 69 HDCP 9

Can you add tip weight to these graphite taper shafts to add a little swing weight.

Asked by: rebootkid
Yes you can use a tip weight with the Steel Fiber graphite shafts. You may need to enlarge the hole in the tip end of the shaft to get them to fit. A 1/8" drill bit works for this and drill carefully.

Hi will these shafts fit on EPON AF153 irons? I have dynamic gold S400 and seem very heavy. 7 iron 155. Would it be better with recoil regular? Thanks!

Asked by: SPANKY
I am assuming the Epon AF153 irons use a .355" taper tip shaft. They do not list this information on their web site. The SteelFiber 80CW shafts in an R flex could work well. With the Recoil you would have to look at the 95 (US0085) to get the .355" taper tip but they could also work well.

Hi I have callaway Legacy black V irons with GS95 regular shafts . I was thinking of switching to steel fiber i80 regular. I have to choose .370 parallel tip or 0.355 taper tip ?

Asked by: Kampol
I would expect the Legacy Black V irons to be a .355" taper tip especially if they currently have steel shafts.

Hi...I am interested in pitting steelfiber I80 shafts in my JPX-900 Hotmetal heads.  Which shaft would I need and do you do the work or do I just buy from you.  How much would it be be for 8 clubs 4-gap would you return the old shafts?

Asked by: Joe P
Mizuno JPX 900 irons use a .355" taper tip shaft. You can send the clubs to us for reshafting or you can purchase the shafts and reshaft them yourself. Which ever way you prefer. Our reshaft price is $19.95 per club plus the catalog price of the shafts, $48.99 per shaft. You need to request the old shafts be returned to you and that is not a problem or additional charge. Here is the link to our Club Repair Form you would fill out and send in with your clubs. https://www.golfworks.com/images/art/RepairForm.pdf

Hi....I have ping IE1 irons with xp95 stiff shafts cut 1/4 inch orange dot.  I was thinking of switching to steel fiber i70 or i80 regular.  Do you do this work or just just sell the raw shaft?  I have 4 through GW. What would the price be total?

Asked by: Joe p
Yes we can reshaft these for you. The reshaft price is $19.95 per club plus the price of the shaft ($48.99 each). The $19.95 price does include certain grips. For the total price including shipping you will need to contact Customer Service at 1-800-848-8358 and they can give you all that information. Here is the link for the Repair Form you would use when you send them in. https://www.golfworks.com/images/art/RepairForm.pdf

I'm wanting to switch shafts in my titleist 714 ap2 with aerotech 110s to aerotech i80s will this change swing wt. and feel much looking for little more distance

Asked by: jmweaver52
The general rule of thumb is that 9 grams of shaft weight is equal to 1 swingweight assuming the balance point of the shafts do not change. In the case of the i110 and i80 the balance points are the same so your swingweights with the i80 shafts could be almost 3 swingweights lighter. The change of shaft weight will be a noticeable change of feel but I think you will find the shaft flexes to play similar.
