Rated 5 out of 5 by from steel fiber i 80 I ASSEMBLED A SET OF IRONS FOR A CUSTOMER USING THE i 95 STIFF. MY CUSTOMERS SAYS THEY ARE THE BEST SHAFTS HE HAS EVER HAD IN A SET OF IRONS. I ASSEMBLED A SET OF IRONS FOR MYSELF USING THE i 80 R FLEX. I AGREE WITH MY CUSTOMER THE BEST SHAFTS I HAVE EVER HAD IN A SET OF IRONS. I RECOMMEND THESE SHAFTS TO MY FRIENDS AND ANYONE WANTING A GREAT QUALITY SHAFT AT A REASONABLE PRICE.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shaft with interesting features I liked the taper tip version in other clubs so I bought this shaft to try in a set of single length irons to reduce total weight, increase club speed, add a bit of kick and increase swingweight. Balance point is relatively closer to tip in these shafts so swingweight ended up a bit too high with my normal 50gm grip. After "counterbalancing" with a 64gm grip, all of my objectives were achieved . Club feels just the way I wanted, distance is significantly increased. Dispersion excellent. Superb shaft, will do the whole set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I80 & I95 Aerotech shafts 12HC* I bought these after I had hit them in my father in-laws clubs. Im never been a guy who believes equipment adds or detracts that much from aersons game, but rather talent, swing plane and fundamentals make up the majority of one game. These shafts have slightly made me re-think about that. Since added these shafts to my XR irons (played at 2 degrees flat) I kid you not I am a club to a club and a half longer and much more accurate!! Its almost unbelievable... Pricey but my god what diffrence they have made!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great control and distance I have used these shafts with the MXU utility heads, and they give excellent accuracy and distance. I have also used the Steelfiber shafts in some irons, and my customers really like the control and distance, along with outsanding feel. Overall, it is a fine shaft.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great move I've been playing the Aerotech 80 shaft for a month (previous shaft was the Rifle 5.0). Tested them on Pine Valley and Merion two weeks ago. Great feel; very stable. Works for all shots. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from i95's We installed the stiff i95's in the VEGA VM-02 raw iron heads(D4)and put the i110's in the wedges. We also built a set for my father(8 handicap) with regular i95's and the VEGA VC-03 heads(D4). The shaft/head combo has an incredible look and feel. Shaft is very stable despite the intitial overall light feel and the traj is perfect. I would recommended these shafts to players of all levels and swing speeds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Moe I played these shafts for the first time in a set of mizuno-m62 irons. One word "outstanding". I has been playing project x rifle 6.0 120 grams... what a difference in clubhead speed, distance, accuracy, and feel. Thinking about reshafting my calloway forged-x irons with the 95 gram shaft.

Hi, I have aerotech 95s in.355,I bought a new set of clubs with .370 hosel. Can I put the .355 shafts in the new .370 ,or do I have to buy new shafts,

Asked by: Kevin
You can put .355 tip shafts into .370 hosels but you will need to use a shim to make up the difference. Our SHIMT is designed putting .355 tip shafts into .370 hosel diameters.

I am looking at installing I80R's in irons and would like a professional opinion of what Steel Fiber shaft you would recommend for my wedges (S+L).. Driver SS 95mph, I assume I would go up a weight (95 or 110) and which flex? thanks in advance.

Asked by: Tappy
At a 95mph driver swing speed you would fit into an S flex iron shaft. You will need (2) 36.5" shafts for your sand and lob wedge. The weight is just a personal preference. If you prefer heavier wedges there would be no issue with installing the 95 or 110 shafts into your wedges.

Will these shafts fit 2017 M2 irons? Also, I am thinking of getting the i95 in R flex  instead of the stock FST reax 88. R flex because people told me these shafts come stiffer than normal in flex. My driver swing speed is 95-105 and 7 iron is 75-77

Asked by: Marcus
The 2017 M2 irons use a .370" tip size shaft so yes these will fit. To me the Steel Fiber R flex shafts play pretty true to flex. It sounds like the R flex could work well for you.

What is the hosel diameter of Callaway Apex Pro 16 Irons? I want to use Aerotech I80 stiff in my Gap wedge. What shaft tip do I use? Also need correct Ferrule. Please advise, Thanks Paul.

Asked by: Paul 454
The Apex Pro 16 irons use a .355" taper tip shaft so you would use the AT0019IE 80CW shaft. https://www.golfworks.com/aerotech-steelfiber-80cw-graphite-iron-shafts-355/p/AT0019IE/ The Callaway BB9051 Ferrule will work well with the Apex Pro 16 irons and 80CW shaft. https://www.golfworks.com/callaway-collared-355-ferrule/p/BB9051/ The ferrule is showing backorder and they are due in the week of March 20th. The BB0001 collared ferrule could also be used and will work well even though it is a .370" size. .355" taper tip shafts taper out to approximately .370" where the shaft exits the top of the hosel so a .370" ferrule will work fine.

I am 69, with 8 handicap. Play with Taylormade Speedblade irons, 2 degrees upright, R flex. 7 iron goes 155.  Would the Aero 95 CW be the right upgrade?

Asked by: Easy Ed
The stock steel shaft in the Taylor Made Speedblade irons was the Speedblade 85 which is an 85 gram weight steel shaft. The Aerotech Steel Fiber 95 at 95 grams are a heavier shaft and designed to create a lower ball flight then the Speedblade 85 shaft. If those characteristics fit you better then the shaft would be a good match to these clubheads. The Speedblade irons use a .370" tip diameter shaft so you would use the AT0003IE. To install the Steel Fiber 95CW you would have to shim the .355" tip size shaft to properly fit the .370" hosel bore of these irons. Our SHIMT (.355 - .370") works well for this installation.

I am 69, 6 feet tall, 7 handicap, driver speed is 95mph. Irons 1/2" over, D2 or 3 SW. I hit the ball too high and am looking for iron shafts with lower trajectory with good distance. Which Steelfibers should I try and how would Recoils compare?

Asked by: elvis_ross
The heavier shafts with both the Steel Fiber and Recoil shafts starting at 95 grams are the ones designed to produce a lower ball flight. Even the 80 gram in the Steel Fiber is designed to produce a mid ball flight. With the Recoils possibly the 95 (US0085) and the same with the Steel Fibers the 95 could possibly be a good choice. Your driver swingspeed puts you into the low end of an S flex. We reference an 8 iron from 150 yards for an S flex and 7 iron for an R flex.
