Aldila NV Graphite Wood Shaft

The Aldila NV graphite wood shaft provides the player with very uniform feel and consistent performance due to its constant taper wall thickness design.

  • .335" and .350" tip diameters available
  • Constant taper design to eliminate "dead spots" or inconsistent flex zones
  • Unmatched consistency throughout the NV line, regardless the shaft weight
  • Available in 55, 65, 75 or 85 Series

Trimming Instructions

Aldila NV Graphite Wood Shaft is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smoooooth!!! This is one smooth shaft. I purchased the 65X .335 for my Supertri a while back as the stock shaft felt like a wet noodle. I have a high swing speed coupled with a quick transition which really loads this shaft up well. It's just so responsive, that I can feel the clubheads presence throughout the swing. Nice medium to low launch and the ball just soars on a smooth arc with excellent roll out. I have since pulled the tour issue Project X out my Titleist 910D3 are re-tipped this shaft to fit. With all of the new models (shafts) that have been released, it's easy to see why Aldila hasn't discontinued this classic! Definitely one of the "best bang for your buck" shafts on the market!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Waiting To Get Outside With These! Have an Adams Speedline S driver and 3W. I found the 50g factory shaft even in 'Stiff' to be too whippy, and too long. My swing speed is 105, and the club head was always too late to the ball, and the factory shaft had virtually no resistance to torque. Had the Ottawa store chop down a 75g NV shaft for the driver, and also had the same shaft put on the 3W. So far just machine hits indoors, but I have yet to slice a shot with either. Driver consistently in the 255-270 range and the 3W in the 240-250 range. Waiting to see what a quality ball can do outside, and not a range ball on a machine. Quality of work was excellent, and new Golf Pride grips were done as well on these clubs. Turnaround was a couple days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Consistent feel and results! I have been searching for a decent shaft for my TM M1. This shaft is perfect. Sacrificed some distance but gained complete control. I can shape a variety of shots and haven't been in trouble with this shaft.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shaft I bought the Aldila NV green shaft to go in my R-15 driver. I had the shaft pured, trimmed and a new adaptor and taylormade grip installed. I have this shaft in a 7 wood and 9 wood and it's just right for me. I firmly believe in puring (spine align) the shaft. I got the new shaft, put it right in my R-15 and it hits great, also about 15 yards further. I will also get it for my R-15 3 wood.

Can I get it with a taylormade r11 tip adapter on it?

Asked by: Jack Frost
Yes you can. You need to order both the shaft and the adaptor. You need the TM0016 shaft adaptor for the R11. https://www.golfworks.com/taylormade-r11-s-r11-and-r9-shaft-adaptor-sleeve/p/TM0016/ If you call Customer Service at 1-800-848-8358 they can get all your specifications to make sure we get this set up correctly for you.

I would like to try using a longer than standard shaft; 48".  All your NV shafts are listed as being 46".  Will the shaft plus adapter result in a 48" length without tip or butt trimming?

Asked by: BigLouie
No, the shaft at 46" plus the shaft adaptor will not come up to 48" finished length. With most drivers the driver head with the adaptor installed will add approximately 1.25" to the finished length of the club so if you installed a 46" shaft it would end up in the 47.25" finished length range.

Do these shafts come with adjustable tips that will adapt to 2015 callaway fairway woods

Asked by: nick
No, the shafts do not come with the shaft adaptors. You have to purchase the adaptor separately and there is a $10.00 charge for installing the adaptor. For the Callaway 2015 fairway woods you would need the CA0020 Callaway Shaft Adaptor. https://www.golfworks.com/search.asp?ss=ca0020

When you look at the shafts where you have the order QTY it shows 65R-65X in the 350 tip then is shows the 75R-75X in the 350 tip but down in the code it only shows the 75R-75X in the 335 tip. Is the order correct for 75 to be in 350 tip or only 335 tip?

Asked by: swhaga
We have the NV 75 in R,S & X flexes in both the .335" and .350" tip sizes. They are all listed here and can be ordered from this link. https://www.golfworks.com/aldila-nv-graphite-wood-shaft/p/1205W/ The code for the .335" tip is 1205W and for the .350" tip it is 1205W35.

A woman purchased a TaylorMade Aeroburner driver, which has a Regular flex; she would like a Lady flex, however believe this club requires a 0.350 tip and haven't found any Lady or even Senior Men's flexes for shafts with .350 tips - does such exist?

Asked by: GolfingSid
There are no .350" tip size ladies or senior flex wood shafts available. You can install a .335" tip size shaft into the Aeroburner driver using the BB9008 Taylor Made Wood Adaptor. https://www.golfworks.com/taylormade-r5-r7-burner-and-super-quad-adaptor/p/BB9008/

I can't find the NV 44 Magnum. Do you still carry this shaft. Can you tell me the MPF Ratings if they are still available?

Asked by: rfarrell51
The Aldila Magnum was discontinued and we no longer have any of them in stock. Here were the MPF ratings for the different flexes. R = 3B2S S = 4B2M X = 5B2M TX = 5.5B2M

I just bought an ALDILA NV 65 R. I'm going to be putting this on a Callaway 816 DBD and would like some thoughts on this shaft with this club. Thanks

Asked by: threestoogess
The Aldila NV 65 R has been a good shaft for quite a few years now. There is no reason if the shaft specifications work for you that it should not match up well with the Callaway 816 DBD driver.

I'm interested in a NV65 stiff flex shaft with a tip for a titelist 915 driver. Is this something that you can provide?

Asked by: Scott
Yes you would have to order the NV65 shaft and the Titleist adaptor (BB9058). https://www.golfworks.com/the-golfworks-910-913-915-straight-fit-adaptor/p/BB9058/ This is an aftermarket shaft adaptor and it simply allows you to change shafts. It is not an adjustable adaptor.
