Aldila NVS Graphite Wood Shafts is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from accuracy and balance Re-shafted an older Taylormade quad with nvs 65R. Could not believe the accuracy with an increase in distance (from staying in fairways, no doubt) Re-shafted my 4 and 7 woods with same. unbelievable balance, feel and accuracy. The feel improved my rhythm so I slowed down my swing and picked up a few yards. If I had it all to do over I'd keep the 65 on the 4 and 5 but put a 55 gr on the driver, though..Mr golf buddy keeps trying to steal the 4 and 7.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did the trick. A few months back, I purchased a Taylor Made R15 TP 3 wood. My bag is filled with TP ironset and hybrids. I prefer these clubs because I want limited offset and I don't need help squaring the club at impact. I didn't care for the stock shaft that came in the 3 wood. It had a vague feel (had difficulty feeling exactly ehere my misses occurred on the club face) and it was definitely designed to lower the ball flight. This normally isn't an issue for me as I tend to flight the ball medium to high with all my clubs. The club head is also designed with a more forward center of gravity to keep ball flight down. This combination didn't work well for me from the fairway and rough. I purchased the Aldila NVS shaft and it gave me all the qualities I needed and noe I feel as confident from the ground as I had from the tee and I also like the height and carry more from the tee. Aldila shafts really suit my game. I now have one version in my driver, 3 wood, 3 hybrid and 4 hybrid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shaft I recently put a NVS 55 A shaft in my Ping G25 3 wood and I'm loving the results. Nice high ball flight with alittle draw. Perfect!

Would it be possible to install this shaft into a 355 Mizuno iron head ? Possibly using an adapter or shim ?  If not what other graphite shaft is comparable to this shaft ?  Thanks need before xmas

Asked by: John
You would also have to create a shim to make the .335" or .350" parallel tip shaft fit the .355" taper hosel bore. The .355" tapered hosel bore is .355" at the bottom of the bore and approximately .370" where the shaft exits the top of the hosel. The .350" tip size shaft would be structurally stronger for this installation then the .335" tip size and a better choice. The shaft will likely play more flexible then an iron shaft because of the iron head weight being heavier then the driver or fairway woods. In a .355" taper tip iron shaft you could look at the Steel Fiber 70CW (AT0020IE) or the UST Recoil 65 (US0100) shafts. Both will work with the Mizuno iron head.

I have a RBZ Driver w/broken XCon 5, Matrix Ozik (44gm) .350 tip, S-flex shaft that I need to replace. Any suggestions about shafts from GW that fill the bill, shaft flex and weight comparable? I looked at ur website and saw only Aldila NVS 65 (68g).

Asked by: Les J
The NV (1205W35) and the NVS (AL0001W) are the only two .350" tip size wood shafts we still stock. The NVS would be a little better match here. I would suggest the Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue 45 (TT0106) as a better replacement for the Matrix Ozik 44 gram shaft. You would need the TM0017 RBZ shaft adaptor to install this .335" tip diameter shaft into this RBZ driver. https://www.golfworks.com/grafalloy-prolaunch-blue-45-65-graphite-wood-shafts/p/TT0106/ https://www.golfworks.com/taylormade-rbz-shaft-adaptor-sleeve/p/TM0017/

I have this shaft 55R  355 tip installed on a gap wedge and love it. Would you recommend me installing this shaft on a set of mizunos jpx 825 pros. I am a senior

Asked by: John
We do not offer the NVS graphite shaft in an iron shaft. The AL202202 is a .335" tip size wood shaft and cannot be used in an iron. Aldila does not manufacture an NVS iron shaft for the aftermarket. For your Mizuno JPX 825 irons you would need to use one of the .355" taper tip graphite shafts like the UST Recoil 65 (US0100) which is the lightest weight .355" taper tip graphite iron shaft we stock. It could match well with the JPX 825 heads.

what size ferrule do I need for this shaft?

Asked by: Jonathan
If you are ordering the AL202202 .335" tip size shaft you would need a .335" ferrule size like the 60PW. If you are ordering the .350" tip size shaft then you would need a .350" tip size ferrule like the 62OW. https://www.golfworks.com/golf-club-wood-ferrules-black/p/60PW/

what are the differences between the NV55s and the NVS55s...Bend point, tip stiffness, etc.?

Asked by: Joe123
The NV55 S flex is a mid/high bend point and med/firm tip stiffness. The NVS55 S flex is a mid bend point and medium tip stiffness. The NVS 55 S flex will play a little more flexible then the NV55 S flex.

You keep speaking of the NVS shaft as a mid flight but the Aldila web site shows it as a high trajectory shaft....something I need and use.  Which is it...high or mid?

Asked by: Dan
In our catalog we list it as a mid trajectory. I just looked at the Aldila web site and in the specifications they list it as a mid launch shaft. http://www.aldila.com/nvs/ I have hit this shaft a number of times and for me I would call it a mid launch and trajectory.

I am replacing an existing Aldila shaft which has a length of 43.25 inches from tip to butt. What is the length of this shaft; and, if needed can it be cut to the above length?

Asked by: tful999
This shaft is 46" long. Yes it can be cut to 43.25" long. The shaft you have would have been cut down from the 46" raw length.
