I'm looking to try a shorter shaft for control in a Cobra Bio Cell.  The original length is 45.75" and the threaded adaptor end to grip measures 44.5" Is the NVS 65S a candidate to be shortened to overall length to 42.5"? Any other shaft suggestions?

You can use the NVS 65 S for a 42.5" playing length. The average length of most #3 woods today is 42.5-43". The NVS is a a medium tip stiffness, mid trajectory shaft. The Graphite Design YS+ Series is another shaft that is similar that you might consider.

I have a 65 gr Aldila trinity regular shaft on my G30 Driver and I been giving to try aAldila NVS 75 gr 350 tip shaft. What will be the effects and if is a wise move. With the 65 gr I do slice the ball very often. Any opinion welcome Regards Mike

The obvious difference is the weight and you should notice a difference in the feel just because of that. The NVS should have a similar trajectory (mid) as the Trinity. Our experience is that a .350 tip shaft will feel a little stiffer than a .335 tip shaft, even when comparing same flexes. The heavier NVS could provide a little more stability, but might cost you a few yards simply because of the weight difference.

I am thinking about putting in the nvs 75 shaft in my Callaway x hot 3 wood. Swing speed for driver is between 100 and 105. I have the project x pxv stiff shaft which goes to high. Is the nvs shaft good for my swing speed?

The NVS plays a little more flexible then normal and would probably play similar toe the current shaft. For a lower ball flight I would look at the NV 75 S flex (1205W) for a more controlled ball flight. https://www.golfworks.com/aldila-nv-graphite-wood-shaft/p/1205W/

shaft for Ping tisi tec 323cc head...looking at Aldila 65S .350 4B2M high launch . If I send you the head can you pure a shaft and install with grip? want 48 inch shaft..any other shaft suggestion would be appreciated..{low cost that is}

Asked by: Bob
We can do this for you here at GolfWorks US but to get the finished club length to 48" will require a shaft extension. The NV could be a good shaft for working at 48" but the butt diameter makes it difficult to find an extension that fits properly. Another shaft to look at could be the Graphite Design YS6+ (YS633WPL). The Kuro Kage Black HBP (MR0044) could also be a good choice. The high balance point of this shaft will help keep the swingweight from getting quite so heavy.

I have a 2014 taylor made R15 with a Fujikura speeder 57 regular flex. At nearly 68 years old, I am finding a regular shaft causing me to lose distance and swing speed. I am interested in the Aldila nvs 55 senior shaft. Any suggestions

Asked by: john boy
The NVS 55 is a very good shaft and could work well. Other shaft to look at would be the Xcaliber Tour SL (AS0026) and the Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue 45 (TT0106). We also have the shaft tip adaptors for the Taylor Made R15 (TM0023) if you need a new shaft adaptor or the existing adaptor can be reshafted. https://www.golfworks.com/taylormade-m1-m2-r-15-sldr-shaft-adaptor/p/TM0023/

I have a Jetspeed and R15 driver heads and need a shaft with adaptor to fit them. Are they the same adaptors? If so,can you supply a NVS 55R shaft with adaptor and grip fitted?

Asked by: Mal
Correction. The shaft adapters for the Jetspeed and R15 are interchangeable so you could use the TM0023 adaptor with both of these drivers.

Can you tell me what matching shaft you have for Aldila NVS-K model fairway shaft I bought new in an Adams Speedline Super XTD 13* wood. The "K" is throwing me? Any idea what it means?....Thanks, Gary

Asked by: GaryO
The NVS-K Fairway shaft in this case would have been made exclusively for Adams. The K in this case tells me this as well as the fact that Aldila never offered an NVS aftermarket fairway wood. Generally the fairwood shafts were in the mid 70 gram weight range. The NVS 65 (AL202202) would still be the closest match. We no longer have a 70 gram version available for this shaft.
