Aldila NVS Graphite Wood Shafts is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from accuracy and balance Re-shafted an older Taylormade quad with nvs 65R. Could not believe the accuracy with an increase in distance (from staying in fairways, no doubt) Re-shafted my 4 and 7 woods with same. unbelievable balance, feel and accuracy. The feel improved my rhythm so I slowed down my swing and picked up a few yards. If I had it all to do over I'd keep the 65 on the 4 and 5 but put a 55 gr on the driver, though..Mr golf buddy keeps trying to steal the 4 and 7.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did the trick. A few months back, I purchased a Taylor Made R15 TP 3 wood. My bag is filled with TP ironset and hybrids. I prefer these clubs because I want limited offset and I don't need help squaring the club at impact. I didn't care for the stock shaft that came in the 3 wood. It had a vague feel (had difficulty feeling exactly ehere my misses occurred on the club face) and it was definitely designed to lower the ball flight. This normally isn't an issue for me as I tend to flight the ball medium to high with all my clubs. The club head is also designed with a more forward center of gravity to keep ball flight down. This combination didn't work well for me from the fairway and rough. I purchased the Aldila NVS shaft and it gave me all the qualities I needed and noe I feel as confident from the ground as I had from the tee and I also like the height and carry more from the tee. Aldila shafts really suit my game. I now have one version in my driver, 3 wood, 3 hybrid and 4 hybrid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shaft I recently put a NVS 55 A shaft in my Ping G25 3 wood and I'm loving the results. Nice high ball flight with alittle draw. Perfect!

Would the Aldila NVS 55S shaft fit into my Taylormade AeroBurner driver? I know I need a tapered tip shaft.

Asked by: Mike
The NVS 55 does not come in a .350 tip, which is what you need for the Aeroburner driver. You can still use the .335 tip, but would need to use a shim to make it fit. The shim you would need would be the SHIM 15. The shaft is not taper tip. Both the .350 and the .335 options are parallel tip.

Hi! Do u have Aldila NVS 45-A or any similar to it in specs and performance?(below 50 gms).

Asked by: Adam
We do not stock the NVS 45 A flex. We would have to special order this shaft for you. We do have the Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue 45 A flex (TT0106) which has been a very popular shaft and has similar spec's as the NVS 45.

I'm looking to try a shorter shaft for control in a Cobra Bio Cell.  The original length is 45.75" and the threaded adaptor end to grip measures 44.5" Is the NVS 65S a candidate to be shortened to overall length to 42.5"? Any other shaft suggestions?

Asked by: Mashtun
You can use the NVS 65 S for a 42.5" playing length. The average length of most #3 woods today is 42.5-43". The NVS is a a medium tip stiffness, mid trajectory shaft. The Graphite Design YS+ Series is another shaft that is similar that you might consider.

I have a 65 gr Aldila trinity regular shaft on my G30 Driver and I been giving to try aAldila NVS 75 gr 350 tip shaft. What will be the effects and if is a wise move. With the 65 gr I do slice the ball very often. Any opinion welcome Regards Mike

The obvious difference is the weight and you should notice a difference in the feel just because of that. The NVS should have a similar trajectory (mid) as the Trinity. Our experience is that a .350 tip shaft will feel a little stiffer than a .335 tip shaft, even when comparing same flexes. The heavier NVS could provide a little more stability, but might cost you a few yards simply because of the weight difference.

I am thinking about putting in the nvs 75 shaft in my Callaway x hot 3 wood. Swing speed for driver is between 100 and 105. I have the project x pxv stiff shaft which goes to high. Is the nvs shaft good for my swing speed?

Asked by: Chuck 253
The NVS plays a little more flexible then normal and would probably play similar toe the current shaft. For a lower ball flight I would look at the NV 75 S flex (1205W) for a more controlled ball flight.

shaft for Ping tisi tec 323cc head...looking at Aldila 65S .350 4B2M high launch . If I send you the head can you pure a shaft and install with grip? want 48 inch shaft..any other shaft suggestion would be appreciated..{low cost that is}

Asked by: Bob
We can do this for you here at GolfWorks US but to get the finished club length to 48" will require a shaft extension. The NV could be a good shaft for working at 48" but the butt diameter makes it difficult to find an extension that fits properly. Another shaft to look at could be the Graphite Design YS6+ (YS633WPL). The Kuro Kage Black HBP (MR0044) could also be a good choice. The high balance point of this shaft will help keep the swingweight from getting quite so heavy.

I have a 2014 taylor made R15 with a Fujikura speeder 57 regular flex. At nearly 68 years old, I am finding a regular shaft causing me to lose distance and swing speed. I am interested in the Aldila nvs 55 senior shaft. Any suggestions

Asked by: john boy
The NVS 55 is a very good shaft and could work well. Other shaft to look at would be the Xcaliber Tour SL (AS0026) and the Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue 45 (TT0106). We also have the shaft tip adaptors for the Taylor Made R15 (TM0023) if you need a new shaft adaptor or the existing adaptor can be reshafted.
