ALDILA Shaft Specifications

Aldila Rip Alpha 6/7 Graphite Wood Shafts is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very well behaved! I put this shaft into my Titleist 910-D2 and immediately saw a huge improvement over the stock Diamana. Much lower trajectory when I wanted it with more roll out. Plenty of height and carry when I hit it more on the upswing. Incredibly accurate. Wish I was 20 years younger so I could really take advantage of it! Great shaft.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still a great shaft I first tried this shaft many years ago as a stock shaft in a RAZR Tour driver. Thought I would give it another go recently because of its low torque rating. It is hard to find shafts with relatively low weight and low torque. Happily it performs well in a more modern adjustable head, and loses nothing in feel and performance compared to many more recently introduced, higher priced shafts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hands Down Best I have used every revolutionary shaft in the last 10 years beginning with the Grafalloy ProLite. This RIP shaft is by far the longest most accurate shaft I have ever played. Currently paired with Titleist 910D2 driver.

If I were to put this shaft in stiff flex in a 3 wood with no tip trimming would it play to a regular flex?

Asked by: Bob
Yes it would play very close to an R flex if you did not tip trim.

Can you all cut to length, tip, and put a grip on a shaft?  Don't see an option anywhere.

Asked by: Bpritch
Yes we can tip cut and cut to length and install the grip for you. You can check the box that says "tip and butt trimming" and in the Special Instructions box at Checkout request to have the grip installed. Customer Service will contact you once we receive the order to verify your order and specifications. You can also call your order into Customer Service at 1-800-848-8358 and they will take all the information from you.

Will you install the tip for a Ping G25 as well. If you can what is the final length of the club?

Asked by: Rhett
Yes we can install the shaft adaptor for the Ping G25 (PGC001). If you did not cut the shaft at all the finished club length would be in the 47" to 47.25" length range.

Hello. This is Kazu. How are you? I have TaylorMade Aeroburner Driver and Fairway Wood. I was wondering if these shafts will fit into these clubs. Thanks.

Asked by: Kazu
The Aeroburner Driver and Fairway woods used a .350" tip size shafts. You can install these Aldila shafts but you will need to use a Shim like our Universal Plastic Shim (BB9018) so that the .335" tip size Aldila shafts will properly fit the Aeroburner heads. https://www.golfworks.com/universal-shim-with-ferrule-335/p/BB9018/

need a longer shaft for ping g 25. regular fix with a sleeve adaptor. what do you recommend

Asked by: chuck
It is hard to make a recommendation without knowing what you need the new shaft to do compared to the existing shaft. For a similar shaft to the stock Ping shaft I would look at the Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue Supercharged (TT0109) or for a mid ball flight the Kuro Kage Black HBP 2nd Gen (MR0044). For the shaft adaptor you will need the PGC001.

I plan on getting the new M2 taylormade and need to know if my 70 X-stiff shaft that's in my Nike Vr will fit in the new M2.

Asked by: Muninja
Yes the shaft from the Nike VR will fit into the Taylor Made M2. They both use .335" tip diameter shafts. You will need to install the shaft from the Nike into a Taylor Made shaft adapter TM0023. http://www.golfworks.com/taylormade-m1-m2-r-15-sldr-shaft-adaptor/p/TM0023/

What is the difference between 6s, 6x and 7s and 7x. Will the shaft fit aTaylor R9?

Asked by: Dean
6s stands for a 60 gram Stiff flex shaft. 6x for a 60 gram Extra Stiff flex shaft. 7s for a 70 gram Stiff flex shaft and 7x for a 70 gram extra stiff flex shaft. We fit Stiff flex shafts for driver swingspeeds in the 93 to 107 mph range and Extra Stiff flex shafts for swingspeeds of 108 mph and higher.

I'm looking for a shaft that will work with a TaylorMade R1 driver

Asked by: jim
The Taylor Made R1 driver used a .350" tip diameter shaft so to install a .335" tip diameter shaft you will need to use the TM0023 shaft adapter. http://www.golfworks.com/taylormade-m1-m2-r-15-sldr-shaft-adaptor/p/TM0023/ For finding a shaft you can answer the quesitons at this link and it will bring up shafts that could fit your needs to choose from. http://www.golfworks.com/mpf-shaft-fitting-worksheet/a/496/
