Aldila RIP Phenom Shaft Specifications

Aldila Rip Phenom Graphite Wood Shafts is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice shaft I have the Phenom 50 in R flex as well as well as an AXE6 in R flex that I play in my r11s head. The AXE seems a little more consistent from round to round but when the stars align with my swing, the Phenom is slightly longer. I would say the Phenom plays a touch stiffer than the AXE but both are a nice match to my 88-92 mph swing speed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shaft for the money! I bought this shaft a month ago - have played 12 rounds with it - best decision I made. It has improved my game considerably. My driving is more consistent and thus has helped improve my game and scores.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Phenominal! I put a 50 gram Phenom in a Callaway Optiforce 3wd and it is the best 3wd I have ever owned. I have tried newer 3wds and do not get the same distance or control as with this combo. I like the shaft so much that I put same shaft in a Callaway Big Bertha and same Phenominal results! This shaft is a little tip stiff, but as someone who draws the ball, it really tames any big hooks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rip Phenom performance The Phenom is last years shaft but a GREAT performer. Installed in TM M1, tipped 1/4" and it frequencies perfectly. Spine super flat. A superior shaft still. Buy one before they're all gone.

Whats the difference between X and TX in the RIP Phenom shaft?

Asked by: Dallas
The TX is a little stiffer shaft. It would play approximately a half a flex stiffer then the X.

So I am looking for a replacement shaft for my R15. I had the Speedster 57 Evolution X-Flex and it broke. Any suggestions? I absolutely loved everything about it, but can't seem to find a new one.

Asked by: Harry
A shaft like the Speeder Evolution II 569 is probably the closest replacement we would have to the Speedster 57 that Fujikura made for the Taylor Made R15 driver. However Taylor Made would not have used a shaft that cost $350.00. A shaft like the Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue Supercharged (TT0109) could also be a good match for the Speedster 57. https://www.golfworks.com/grafalloy-prolaunch-blue-supercharged-graphite-wood-shafts/p/TT0109/

Best aldila shaft for 100mph swing speed.

Asked by: brocko
Basically any of the top line Aldila S flex shafts will work for a 100 mph swingspeed. The RIP Phenom is good for someone looking for a mid ball flight. If you are looking for a low/mid ball flight the RIP Alpha (AL0031) could be a good choice. The Aldila NV (1205W) is still a good shaft for someone looking for a low/mid ball flight. For a high ball flight the NV 2KXV Orange 65 (AL0059) could be good. It just depends on what you need the shaft to do for you.

Need to replace shaft in my TaylorMade R1. Came with RIP Phenom 55, Reg Flex, which I cannot find. Should I replace with the RIP Phenom 50 or 60? My swing speed is 88 to 90; avg 225-245 yds. More interested in control than an extra 5 yards in distance.

Asked by: Dan
The RIP 55 would have been made for Taylor Made for the R1 driver. It also was a ,350" tip diameter shaft. The RIP 55 was listed at 55 grams. The 60 being 62 grams could give you a little more control or you could consider going with the 55 R flex and tip trimming 1/2" to make it play more between an R and S flex.

I want to replace the shaft in my ping g 3 wood with a phenom. Which shatft is the correct one in a 65-70 weight stiff? Don

Asked by: Don
The stock shaft weight in the Ping G 3 wood was a mid 60 gram weight shaft. Based on this information the Phenom RIP 60 would match that weight. For a player with a faster swingspeed needing more control the 70 gram weight shaft can work better.

If I was to order the shaft would it be installed with a callaway fit tip

Asked by: ldstexas
You have to order the shaft and the Callaway shaft adaptor and request to have us install the shaft adaptor. There is an additional charge of $10.00 to install the adaptor. https://www.golfworks.com/callaway-advanced-opti-force-shaft-adaptor/p/CA0020/

I KEEP MY DRIVES IN THE FAIRWAY,BUT I NEED MORE DISTANCE. I AVE. ABOUT 200 YARDS. WHAT SHAFT DO I NEED FOR DISTANCE

Asked by: SPENCER
Assuming you are not currently using a 50 gram weight shaft in your driver or fairway woods it could help you create a little more clubhead speed and possibly a little more distance. The RIP Phenom (AL0034) in the 50 gram R flex could help. The Kuro Kage Black HBP 2nd Gen 50 R flex (MR0044) could be another good choice. https://www.golfworks.com/mitsubishi-rayon-kuro-kage-black-hbp-2nd-gen-wood-shafts/p/MR0044/

Hello! 1) What shaft will you advise for athletic better golfer - I am changing from flex R 2) Weight of shaft - what is difference - 50gr Stiff - what kind of shaft is this? 3)do you deliver to Moscow - how much how long? RIP Phenob 50 gr - is it ok?

Asked by: sergey
50 gram weight shafts tend to play more flexible then normal so you might be better to look at a 60 gram shaft like the RIP Phenom S flex. For a 50 gram weight shaft that plays true to it's flex you might look at the Xcaliber Tour SWD50 in the S flex. It is one of the stiffest tip shafts on the market. For the cost and shipping charges you will need to contact our International Trade Accounts Manager, Donna Ours, at dours@golfworks.com and she can help you.
