What is inside diameter of Aldila Tour Blue hybrid? I need to extend the shaft, so what size extender should I get?

Asked by: Phil
The GW4000 Pink (.495") extension will fit the Tour Blue Hybrid shaft.

IR1 indicates 'butt trim to length only'.  I play between R and S.  Can I tip trim an R to achieve this?  If so, how much?

Asked by: Jim
The Aldila Tour Blue nxt Gen MLT hybrid shaft has a 3" parallel tip section so you do have a little room to do some tip trimming. If you tip trim the R flex 1/2" you will make it play between an R and S flex.

If I bought this would you be able to grip it, put an adapter on it, and have it so I could pop it right into my g30 hybrid? Very new to shaft technology.

Asked by: Lance
No, we are unable to do this for the G30 Hybrid. The G30 Hybrid uses a .355" taper tip shaft and the Tour Blue nxt Gen MLT hybrid shaft is only made with a .370" parallel tip which is to large to fit the Ping G30. The G30 hybrid also does not use a shaft adaptor. We do not stock any .355" taper tip hybrid shafts.

would this shaft, or your Tour Green shaft, fit into my Callaway X Utility Prototype Driving Iron (18*)?

Asked by: Mike
The Callaway X Utility Prototype does take a .370 tip shaft, so AL0043 Tour Blue or the AL0041 Tour Green Hybrids will work.

The Aldila Tour Blue HB shaft has a white line at the butt end of the shaft. Is this meant to align at the noon position during install? It is aligned with the graphics. But, after flo'ing, it seems best to ignore this alignment, if that is the intent.

Asked by: Lee
According to Aldila, the white line on the butt end of the shaft is where the shaft frequency is measured and in spec and the shaft is in acceptable oscillation consistency.

this would be for a callaway 3 fairway wood would the ferrule be included?

Asked by: cracker
No, the ferrule would not be included. To determine what type of ferrule you would need we would need to know the specific Callaway model (XR, Xhot, Big Bertha, etc.) of fairway wood you have.
