Aldila Tour Blue Shaft Specifications

Aldila Tour Blue nxt Gen MLT Graphite Wood Shaft is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Aldila Tour Blue Good low price. Nice shaft. Soft enough and high ball flight. I mean there is no shortage of ball flight. I had it in xs, it feels xstiff but there is also enough softness. I'm happy I found something good.

I have an Aldila Shaft ATX55-S and I would like to know if that's a senior shaft?

Asked by: Gary
The S in ATX55-S would tell me it is a Stiff flex shaft. Aldila will generally mark a senior flex shaft with an A of the word Lite.

How do I use the trimming code (W18) for this shaft to determine how to cut my shaft so that my driver will be 44.5" in length? Sorry I haven't cut a shaft before. Should I take my driver head in consideration? Let's say I'm using a Taylormade R15.

Asked by: Peter
Yo would trim nothing from the tip end of the shaft for a Driver. The common procedure would be to install the shaft into the head and after installation, trim to your preferred playing length (44.5") using an accepted method for measuring overall club length. Step 14 in the link below shows the most common way to measure club length. You would need to have a 48" ruler. https://www.golfworks.com/images/art/2008HowToBuildClubs.pdf

how does this Tour Blue nxt Gen MLT compare to the tour Blue 65? I've been fitted for the later but there's s huge price difference.

Asked by: AX88
I do not have any information on the Tour Blue 65 but the Tour Blue nxt Gen MLT 65 last year sold for $249.50 and has been dropped to $89.99 for 2017. Possibly that is the price difference you are seeing. The shaft did not change, just the price.

I have a Callaway X2Hot Pro 20 degree hybrid with the Aldila Tour Green shaft. I absolutely love the club. I'm considering buying the 23 degree but it has this Aldila Tour Blue shaft installed. Can you please advise the difference between blue and green

Asked by: csigolfguy
The Tour Green (AL0041) is designed for a low/mid trajectory and the Tour Blue a mid trajectory. That is the basic difference between the two shafts.
