Rated 5 out of 5 by from One hop and stop! I am tickled to death, now i haven't really stuck one and drawn it back any more than a foot but in my MMB 17 gap wedge can be trusted to give me the one hop and stop i wanted with this shaft. My pitching wedge is next.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shaft!!!! Replaced a wedge flex steel shaft in a 58deg SW and it made an immediate playability increase. Felt like it was specifically made for the club. Highly recommend this shaft.

On the trimming instruction this shaft is not listed but, I see on your website it is listed as an IR 30.  Your shaft trimming instructions sheet says an IR 30 means it is "tip trim to length only".  Just want to make sure - am I reading it right?

Asked by: Mike
That is correct the trimming instructions are tip trim to length only.

I purchased the xcaliber spin85 - tip size 370. Unfortunately I didnt realize my Nike wedges have 335 hosels. I want to use the shafts. I am thinking my only option is to bore out the hosels. any other suggestion????

Asked by: Doug
Our recommendation would be to ream or rebore the hosel.

I have a Mac Daddy 50 degree wedge and a Vokey SM4 54 degree wedge I would like to have you put the XCaliber Spin Shaft in. Can you bore the hosels and fit the wedges? How do I send you my wedges?

Asked by: moman
Yes we could ream (rebore) these hosels to accept the Xcaliber Spin shaft. Here is a link to our Club Repair Form that you can fill out and send in with your wedges.

What XC shaft(s) are suggested graphite replacements for Cobra Baffler 6 - GW irons and Cleveland RTX 588 58 degree SW. The CB's are R flex steel and the Cleveland is a steel W flex.

Asked by: MAW
The Xcaliber Iron (AS0023) could make a good replacement for the Cobra Baffler Irons. For the Cleveland wedges, which are .355" taper tip, you will need the Xcaliber Irons (AS0028). Generally the W flex in wedges is an S flex.

Would these shafts work with Callaway Mack daddy 2 or 3?

Asked by: foamy
No the Xcaliber Wedge Spin shafts are only available in a .370" parallel tip and the Mack Daddy wedges use a .355" taper tip shaft. The Xcaliber Wedge shaft is to big to fit the Mack Daddy wedges.

I'm going to build two wedges for my 75 year old father, about a 25 hdcp. I'm thinking the 85 gram would be best for him, do you have any opinions otherwise?

Asked by: Thorny
The 85 gram Xcaliber Spin wedge shaft should be a good option. Not any other wedge specific options at that weight.

I bought this spin wedge shaft to assemble with Maltby M+ wedge. Trim instruction for this shaft is tip trim to length but in xcaliber shaft site it is butt trim to length standard. Which is correct?

Asked by: anyseong
We have always had the .370" tip version as a tip cut only shaft. We did at one time have a.355" taper tip version that was butt cut only and that might be what you are looking at on the web site. The web site may not have been updated lately.
