Arthur Xtreme Engineering Xcaliber Graphite Hybrid Shaft Specifications

AXE XCaliber Hybrid Graphite Shaft is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best hybrid shafts that I've used I've built several hybrid clubs and tried a number of different hybrid shafts. I've never been completely satisfied with any hybrid shaft until I tried the AXE Xcaliber hybrids. These shafts have quickly become my standard recommended hybrid shaft. Great price too!

Correction to earlier message; I'm looking for the regular flex Xcaliber (non SL) hybrid shaft. Is this shaft being replaced by the SL model?

Asked by: AllBark48
These are being discontinued and we will not be getting any more in stock. Xcaliber is suppose to be redesigning their product line but at this time we have not seen any of the new products. The SL did not replace the Xcaliber Hybrid. The SL is a lighter weight hybrid shaft then the standard Xcaliber Hybrid shaft. It is a very good shaft.

I just picked up this this shaft a while back and put it in a 2h but I cant remember if I tipped it accordingly to that clubhead or not. Do you have a raw tip to graphic measurement that I can use to determine how much I tipped it? thanks

Asked by: Drew
On the raw shaft from the tip to the "R" in Xcaliber the measurement is 19 9/16".

What would be the tip trimming for a 25H 251g and a 28H at 258g in the A flex shaft?

I am replacing shafts in my 5 & 6 Alpha Silver Diamond Steel Hybrids with an A flex, would this shaft be a good choice or is there a better one? I need more flex and height as my swing slows.

Asked by: jrob
I would look at the Xcaliber Tour SL Hybrid (AS0032) in the A flex. It is a lighter weight shaft then the standard Xcaliber Hybrid and the lighter weight could help you create a little more swingspeed and distance. http://www.golfworks.com/axe-xcaliber-tour-sl-graphite-hybrid-wood-shaft/p/AS0032/

I'm looking at Pure grips to fit these shafts, and the grip order form asks whether one wants a 0.58 or .6 core. Is that related to the diameter of the shaft at the grip end? If so, which one would fit this shaft?

Asked by: Randy Wall
.580" core size grips are designed to fit .580" butt diameter shafts and give you a standard size grip. .600" core size grips are designed to fit .600" butt diameter shafts and give you a standard size grip. If you install a .580" core size grip on a .600" butt diameter shaft you will get a grip size that is +1/64" oversize or .915" compared to standard which is .900". You could install either grip on these shafts but if you want a standard grip size then you want the .600" core size. The Xcaliber Hybrid shafts are a .600" butt diameter. At this link if you scroll down the page you can see the specification box where the butt diameter is listed. http://www.golfworks.com/axe-xcaliber-hybrid-graphite-shaft/p/AS0022/

Hi, I would like the shaft to play between regular and stiff. Can you recommend trim to get the flex a little stiffer than regular? Thanks

Asked by: Jocko360
Depending on which number of hybrid you are working with you could start with the R flex and tip trim 1/2" more then the instructions call for or you could start with the S flex and tip trim 1/2" less then the instructions call for. If you are shafting a 15 degree hybrid the tip trimming is 0" so you would have to start with with R flex and tip trim 1/2" to make it play in between. If I knew which hybrid number you were reshafting I could be more specific as to how much you would need to tip trim the shaft with either the R or S flex.

I have two Titleist 913H hybrids (24 and 27 degree).  Can you cut the AXE XCaliber Hybrid shafts (A flex) to the standard length for each club, attach the Titleist adjustable hosel, and add a Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360 grip (plus one wrap)?

Asked by: RBGolfer
We do not stock the replacement shaft adaptor for the Titleist 913H hybrids. You would need to check with our Customer Service Department to see if we can special order the shaft adaptor and if we can they can also help you with your order. You can contact them at 1-800-848-8358 or by email at golfworks@golfworks.com.
