Arthur Xtreme Engineering Xcaliber Graphite Iron Shaft Specifications

AXE XCaliber Taper Tip Graphite Iron Shafts is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Game Inprovement I was having Shoulder/Rotator Cup problems and the Doc. suggested that I quit golf due to the Vibration from Steel Shafts so I took out the Mizuno OE Steel and replaced with the Xcaliber 75 Gram set, no vibration and I'm hitting the ball an extra 10 yards and straighter This was a great change for mee

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shafts!! I have tried them all... rifle 5.5 and 6.0; kbs S. true temper s300, I am a single digit and was skeptical of switching to lighter shafts and graphite, I am using the 85 gram stiffs. I have a med to slow tempo, smooth transition. Shafts have made me more accurate, consistent, and half a club longer. Bam flight is phenomenal, doesn't balloon and can control. Would highly recommend them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice retrofit to Mizuno irons I had been playing with light weight steel shafts in my previous iron sets (True Temper XP95 in one set, NS Pro GS95 in other), but I've always been a low ball hitter and wanted something to help with launch angle. I wanted to replace the Dynamic Gold R300s that were in my MP-54s, and these fit the bill perfectly. The kick point is not too low so the flight does not balloon, but does give me more height. I also tend to get too flat in my swing, and the lighter weight of this graphite shaft helps me swing a bit more upright. The deep, matte red finish, with minimal graphics makes for a clean, sharp look as well. There seems to be a bit more play or give (compared with steel) when I first test-fit the shafts into the hosels. However, I used a liberal pinch of shafting beads in the epoxy mixture, and the shaft fit set up quite nicely. I've played about 3 rounds (and couple driving range sessions) with these shafts, and I'm really happy with them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brought life back to my Hogan's! I've been trying to find the distance I've lost in my Hogan progressive ironset w/ Apex 4 shafts over the last 4 years, and narrowed down my search for easier playing graphite to the AXE XCaliber Taper Tip .355 graphite iron set 4-PW in stiff 85g red shafts. I also own a set of UGImprovement irons with OEM graphite shafts, but the gains I experience with those are only in the soft feel area, not distance or dispersion of shot. I swapped out the very easy to play original Hogan steel shafts with the AXE XCaliber set cut 1/2" longer than the standard steel lengths and wow! 15 yards avg more distance on each iron with an even tighter controlled dispersion than the steel, but with the same flight as I was used to working with. I just ordered an AXE XCaliber Tour 6 graphite wood shaft in the same MPF as the AXE XCaliber irons to try out in my driver because I now personally see the reason for all the great reviews and want to try out more AXE XCaliber products. Hope the price continues to be so affordable on this line, I'm planning to fill some other shaft problem spots in my equipment soon!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BETTER THAN EXPECTED Recent install in Ping G2 set provides great trajectory for here in Texas winds with reduced wear and tear than prior steel shafts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Improvement on OEM shaft I used this to replace a broken OEM shaft (made by UST Mamiya) on Nike iron. The customer prefers this shaft over the original.

What ferrel would Ping I irons need?  Do they need a collared one?  They are 355 taper I think.

Asked by: Tatorchip
This Ping ferrule (BB9047) will work and yes the Ping I irons use a collared ferrule. https://www.golfworks.com/ping-anser-i-20-355-iron-ferrules/p/BB9047/

Do you expect to gain any distance switching from steel to graphite

Asked by: Tatorchip
Most players gain a little distance with graphite shafts compared to steel shafts. Generally graphite iron shafts will be lighter weight then the steel shafts most players have been using. Graphite shafts can also be more flexible then steel shafts, which also benefits a lot of players. I would always tell you that if you are not sure try one of two graphite shafts first before trying the whole set to see how they work for you.

want 4 /pw have srixon 565 irons 355tip would like them trimmed to fit with some ferules .(axecaliber graphite)don't know if irons are taper tip.

Asked by: jimmy
The Srixon 565 irons should be a .355" taper tip shaft, especially if the stock shafts are steel. We can trim these shafts for you and have the ferrules as well. You can contact our International Trade Accounts Manager, Donna Ours, at dours@golfworks.com and she can help you with your order.

I see these shafts must be ordered from 36-39 inches. what length does the picthing wedge start and going up to a 4 iron length

Asked by: ace3770
The 39" raw length shaft is the 4 iron shaft and they progress down in 1/2" increments to the 36" shaft for PW. The 36" shaft is used for any wedges.

I am looking for 355 taper tip shafts to go into a set of Mizuno irons. I need 2 through SW R flex and the AXE XCaliber Taper Tip Graphite Iron Shafts seem like a good choice. Do you have these in stock?

Asked by: luke
The Xcaliber .355" taper tip shaft is a very good shaft. However they do not offer a 2 or 3 iron shaft in the .355" taper tip version. We are also backordered on these at the moment and are not expecting them in until the middle of December. There are not many options in .355" taper tip graphite shafts. The Paderson Kinetixx IMRT Kevlar 950 irons are available with a 2 iron shaft and the UST Recoil 95/110/125 (US0085, US0087 & US0088) are also available with a 2 iron shaft. These are the only graphite iron shafts available with a 2 iron shaft.
