Xcaliber Shaft Specifications

AXE XCaliber Tour SL Graphite Wood Shaft is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value. I have been searching for a shaft to put into my rbz driver head which performs better for me than the xcon7 shaft I had in it. I have tried tour ad di 6s, 7s, 6x, tour ad bb 6s, diamana Bluebeard motore speeder your spec shafts. Then I decided to try some of the lightweight shafts, and I have had some success with the old xcaliber tour sl shafts in fairway so wanted to give this a shot. It performs better than all those premium shafts that I now have to sell. It feels very stable, not whippy for a lightweight shaft. Direction control is amazing more point and shoot than my other shafts. And the lower weight helps me get it out there longer. I also have the match in fist way and hybrid shafts. A great purchase.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from gets it out there, but might not be for me driver ss hovers around 100. 11 handicap. low spin, low launch player who needs more spin and higher launch. this shaft was recommended after some great interaction with robin arthur. dude is first class! i like the way the shaft feels in my hands, and it looks great in an adams xtd ti 15* set to +1*. the shaft launches low, even in a 3w. try as i might, i just can't get it to kick enough at impact. distance-wise, it's great, as long as my typical drive. but i can't get it to carry even 200y, although it roll out another 30-40y. i also can't get it to turn over, so fades are easy but draws are just blocks. at the price, it's a great shaft, but i think these shafts are designed for stronger players with aggressive loads, and i don't fit that profile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply the best choice for me Put this into my R1 and was going to sell the club if this didn't work. TP shaft wasn't working for me at all. Ball now has great launch and carry with no light feel I thought it would have. Amazing that I could feel this shaft truly unload and spank the ball out there! Highly recommend this shaft!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome feel . After owning several Xcaliber shafts and being completely satisfied I finaly fitted my SLDR driver and Fairway woods with the Tour SL . I wished I would have done it earlier . Great feel , control , tight dispersion and great distance . You don't have to spend hundreds of dollars for a great shaft .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shaft I have been playing Excalibers for years and find these shafts to be terrific. The TS flex gives the player a 265 cpm shaft at 45" that is only 50 grams! Has to be the stiffest, lightest shaft on the market. Great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't Say Enough Had the SL installed on a Cleveland Classic XL adjustable after the Fubuki broke in two. Just outstanding. Callaway has been sent to the bench. I now have XCaliber Tour SL's thru the bag. Driver, fairway wood, hybrids and irons. AXE Spinners on the wedges. Absolutely love them all. When playing partners take a swing with them it's always followed with a "WOW, NICE". Axe XCalibers are an amazing find.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from X Cal Tour SL Great Shaft!! I have had the SL in S flex in my driver for a few years and just switched to the R flex. Very happy, not a lot of difference but as my SS as slowed the S was just getting to be work and the R fixes that just fine. I can move it either way; and low bullet or high rider. One of the best shafts for the $$$ anywhere on the planet!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what i wanted. Fast shipping, 4 days. Replaced the original shaft in my Ping G-15. Played today in 55 degrees and hit the ball just as far as i was hitting during the summer months. Can't wait for the weather to warm up. Thinking of putting this shaft in my Ping 3 wood.

Why is purring not offered as option on this shaft?

Asked by: Dr Ron
We have had problems with Puring these shafts because of how light they are. The clamping pressure on the Puring machine, which is all automated, tends to break these shafts along with other lightweight shafts. So we have been recommending not Puring these shafts and that is why we do not list the option in the ordering information.

I don't see. SL(AS0026) ????? i got a Ping K15. 9,5 Want A. Flex. Ultra lite. 70 years old. i want reshaft do i need shim ? thanks

Asked by: jean
It shows up for me. We do have the A flex in stock. The Ping K15 used a .350" tip size shaft so yes you will need the BB9048 for the .335" size to install this shaft properly into the K15 driver.

I purchased the XCaliber Tour SL Graphite Wood Shaft and unfortunately it did not perform in my driver like the fairway shaft did.  Can this shaft be trimmed to use in a faiwary wood?  If so what are the trimming instructions. Thanks

Asked by: RickyL
Assuming you did not tip trim it when you installed it into the driver, you would follow trim code W19 at this link for the recommended tip trimming for the fairway wood you want to install it into. At this link scroll down to the last page.

Hi, I am using a Ping G driver. Will the AXE XCaliber Tour SL Graphite Wood Shaft fit the Ping G driver adaptor? Any issue with cutting it to a playing length of 43.75" to 44"? How much does it cost to ship to South East Asia?

Asked by: Edwin
Yes the Xcaliber Tour SL wood shaft will fit the Ping G shaft adapter. There are no issues cutting it to 43.75" or 44" other then it will create a light swingweight. For all you shipping costs you will need to contact our International Trade Accounts Manager, Donna Ours, at and she will help you with the charges.

When installing shaft in a Taylor Made M1 driver, does the shaft need to be trimmed given the fact that bottom of the shaft sits in the adapter which is outside of the hosel, rather than in the bottom of the hosel?

Asked by: RickyL
No there is no additional trimming done to the shaft because of the shaft adapter. You follow the shaft manufactures recommended trimming instructions with on changes.

Interested in the axe Xcaliber tour sl regular flex for my Taylormade RBZ stage 2 driver, do you have the tip adapter and can you install the tip adapter and grip the shaft for me?

Asked by: Norm
Yes the TM0017 is the shaft adapter you will need and GolfWorks Canada would be able to install this adapter for you. Right now the Tour SL R flex shaft is on backorder and we are not expecting them in until mid January here in the US so it will be a little later then that before GolfWorks Canada will have them.

Any estimated time for when the regular flex shafts will be re-stocked?  Thanks!

Asked by: Ben
We are showing the middle of January 2017 before these will be in stock. We have had these on order but the issue is with the manufacture.
