Golf Pride Grip Specifications

Golf Pride Tour 25 Light Weight Golf Grip is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from performance review after eariler install review OK, here's the 411 on these new grips. Excellent grip, tour velvet feel, increased the SW 4 pts. The SW increased club head feel on the way down, cuts through the turf & rough with ease, more solid powerful center contact, straighten out my weak fades, increased distance = everything I was looking for. You have to be stronger to swing heavier SW irons or it will tire you out. At 58; I strengthen myself with planking, and big roller muscle massages to get the knots & tightness out. Most pros use higher SW, because they are more fit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tour Velvet feel - Half the weight I use these grips when targeting a specific swing weight. They provide all of the Tour Velvet feel, but only weigh 25 grams.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lighten Up I've installed these grips on most of my Drivers and Fairway Woods. The swing weight significantly changes promoting higher club head speed, you will notice the difference!

Is the TOUR 25® grip available in  Oversize. If not, are there other grips available in 25 gram weight and oversize? Thanks!

Asked by: Safety John
The Tour 25 is not available in Oversize. No there are no Oversize grips available in the 25 gram weight range. Basically the grip manufactures cannot make a grip bigger in diameter and keep it that light.

Looking to cut my G15 Driver (TFC 149D shaft w/ Ping 703 +1/32 grip) down from standard 45.75" to 44.5". My research and talks w/ golf buddies, I'm thinking the swing weight will drop 6 - 8 points. Will these grips get me back to D3? If not, which will?

Asked by: C C
Cutting down 1.25 inches is equivalent to gripping down on the original club, the swing weight is a feel measurement that does not equal the club head weight flexing the shaft. The Head weight is the same and the flex of the shaft is slightly stiffer for the shorter lever. I saw a suggestion of 16 grams of weight to regain the shaft flex during a given swing, I would disagree. The most weight needed would be no more than 5 - 6 grams to flex the shaft, likely less. The light weight grip would increase the measured swing weight, but does not change the head weight to shaft dynamic. I do agree that some golfers benefit a swing weight increase that 'increases' club head feel. I use lead tape to increase head weight when I install X-flex shafts and sub flexes, 8.5 to 5.5 CPM dependent to club application, and Hard Stepped X100 down to actual S300 in the Dynamic offerings. It is also cool that Bob Vokey has decided that higher lofted wedges need more weight on the top of the club back, something I have done since my first 60 degree Cleveland wedge back in 1988, and all wedges since.

I want grip all weather condition tacki and shock absorption for my iron .....is this good?or better dri tac wrap lite or something else?thanks

Asked by: leonard
The Dri Tac Lite would be better for shock absorption then the Golf Pride Tour 25. In a very light weight grip the Dri Tac Lite is going to be your best option for shock absorption.

what is the finished weight of a golf pride 25 grip with 6 raps of build up tape.? is there a mid or oversized grip with the same or lighter weight.?

Asked by: Joe
with a 25 grams grip, you raise your swingweight by 3 grams, with 6 layers of building tape it will become pretty close to the original swingweight
