Golf Pride Tour Velvet Cord Golf Grips is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best grip ever Absolutely, the best grip ever. I have been looking for a very soft cord grip forever. These come with the sanded feeling already, I just wish the .580 was an option or that Golf Pride's midsize was a 1/32 instead of 1/16. Cannot go wrong here. Order while available, I have a feeling these will hard to get once the word gets around.

Hi, What's the difference with the 2 corded ribbed grips? What does .580 and .600 mean? I have corded ribbed grip on my clubs but I don't know which one to pick. Any help would be appreciated. I can send photos if that helps

The .580" and .600" represent the size of the hole (core size) on the inside of the grip. The .580" core size grip is designed to be used with a .580" butt diameter shaft and the .600" core size is designed to be used with a .600" butt diameter shaft and will create a standard men's size grip, .900" measured at 2" down from the top edge of the grip. If you install the .580" core size grip on a .600" butt diameter shaft you will get a +1/64" oversize grip which measures .915". Grips are coded on the inside bottom of the grip. If you roll back the bottom edge of the grip you should be able to see either a 58 or 60 on that inside bottom edge. You may also see an R after the 58 or 60. The R means that the grip is round in circumference. If it does not have the R it is a ribbed grip which means it has a raised rib that runs down the back side of the grip to create a reminder when you put your hands on the grip so that you get them in the same place every time.

Play project x 95 flighted 6.5 butt diameter .600. I am playing lamkin cord midsize with two wraps. I want to try the the golf pride tour velvet cord. Which grip would you suggest. .600 rip or round or the 580. Ive tried before 98-00 to hard

Asked by: DLD267
The Lamkin Crossline Cord Mid Size grip is a round grip so if you like that I would stay with a round grip. If you plan on building up the Golf Pride Tour Velvet Cord to a Mid Size I would start with the 580 core size. You would need 4 build up wraps with the .580" core size grip to create a mid size grip.

Do these ribbed grips have the same prominent rib as the original tour velvet cord or the smaller rib like the BCT had?  I'm looking for a grip with a very noticeable rib.  Suggestions would be appreciated. Thx

Asked by: RC68
BCT is the only Tour Velvet Cord grip. We just neglected to include BCT in the description of the Tour Velvet grip on the web site. We will get that fixed right away.

I have True Temper Dynamic Gold shafts (s300).  Do I use the .580 or .600 diameter, or is simply a matter of preference?  I used to use the Golf Pride V55 round for driver and fairway woods.  Is there something similar available?

Asked by: BCNaples
Dynamic Gold S300 shafts have a butt diameter of .600". If you install a grip with a .580" core, the finished grip size will .020" larger (+1/64) than a standard grip. If you liked the feel of the V55 grips I would suggest the GolfPride VDR or Tour Velvet grips. VDR: Tour Velvet:
