Rated 5 out of 5 by from Holding fast... What a pleasant surprise to find I can still order an exact match for the Golf Pride Tour Velvet grip I ordered several years ago-- maybe as many as five. I need one more to make up a set of two hybrid long irons, and they are still to be had. Wonderful!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best grips of all time Great service provided by Golfworks in getting my grips sent without any delays. The Tour Velvet is a classic golf grip that provides excellent feel and feedback on all shots. I use .58 ribbed grips on my fairway woods and irons to get that extra feel in my left fingers. I use .58 round grips on my driver in case I need to adjust the head (M1) and on my wedges for manipulating the face on shots. Either GP Tour Velvet version provides consistently in feel and performance.

What is a golf pride tour velvet-aqua grip

Asked by: John
No the Tour Velvet is not available in Aqua. Golf Pride may possibly make it for one of the major manufactures but they do not make it for the aftermarket.

do you have golf pride tour velvet ribbed grips?

Asked by: wayne
Yes the VT code is for the Ribbed grip and the VTR is for the round grip. We have the VT in both .580" core size and .600" core size. At this link where you enter the Qty for you order the grips are marked Rib or Rnd for round. https://www.golfworks.com/golf-pride-tour-velvet-golf-grips/p/VT/

What do a difference between round and ribbed grips? I see there is a choice for the tour velvet grip. Thanks

Asked by: Hannah
The round grip is round in circumference and the ribbed grip has a reminder rib that runs along the back side of the grip and fits into your finger tips when you take your grip. It creates a reminder so that you get your hands on the club the same way each time.

My club fitter told me to use Tour Velvet M62 L.D. Grips Which grip is that?

Asked by: Bill
We do not stock the Golf Pride Tour Velvet M62 grip. We should be able to special order the M62 Tour Velvet grips for you from Golf Pride. You would need to call our Customer Service Department at 1-800-848-8358 and they can help you with the special order.

Found an old Golf Pride tour velvet Light grip in the box. 600 core, standard size. Can you tell me the weight of this grip? Can't find it elsewhere. Thank you.

Asked by: Peter
The Tour Velvet Lite grips weighted 39 grams. It was introduced in 1996 and we had them in our catalog through 2000.

Interested in a graffalloy blue shaft, pured (right hand) in stiff prepped with Taylormade r11s tip adaptor for a 3 wood and a golf pride tour velvet grip. Does golf works supply shafts prepped and ready to install like this? Can you price this package?

Asked by: jrg126
We can provide the service. The price would be the cost of the shaft ($79.99) plus the price of the adaptor ($14.99) plus the price of the Pureing service ($19.50) plus the price of the grip (5.19 for Tour Velvet standard), plus the tip prep, cut and grip install ($19.45). We would recommend that you cut to final length and install the grip, which would save you $6.50 and allow you to be precise in the final club length cut. We do not have an R11 3 wood, which would allow us to duplicate your club once the shaft is installed to cut to the final length.

what is the standard butt size on Ping Rapture irons

Asked by: tjtj
We do not have specific information on the butt diameters of the steel and graphite shafts for the Ping Rapture irons but it would be approximately .600" for both the steel and graphite shafts.

I have Cleveland TA 5 irons with R flex. are they 580 or 600 ?

Asked by: Goob
They would use a .600" core size grip. If you roll back the bottom edge of the grip you can read the core size. It will say either 60 or 58 and may have an R after the code which would indicate that it is a round grip.
