Trimming Instructions

Grafalloy ProLite 35 Graphite Wood Shafts is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still the ONE! I started playing 12 years ago, and after testing a dozen or so shafts over 2 years, I definitively found this one the best for control and with the added bonus of great distance. I got a new driver in 2008 (which has a tip stiff UST 65, also a great shaft), but the face caved in last month. I got a new SQ STR8 fit from Nike. I didn't like the Axivcore Black shaft it comes with, so I pulled Grafalloy ProLite 35 from my old wood and put it in the Nike. Voila! The ball flight went back down, no loss of carry, and better control. This shaft it the ONE if you hit the ball high. Its high kick point/stiff tip design gives it a naturally low spinning trajectory with no ballooning. as other reviewers have stated, you can spend a lot more, but you won't get any more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shaft I was hitting my 8.5 Callaway driver higher than I wanted to. I put this shaft in and the trajectory came down to a better angle than the original manufacturer shaft. Distance and roll increased also. It's hard to believe a more expensive shaft could work any better than this one. I have tried many different shafts (Grafalloy and others) over the years and this is the one I love for my driver. More distance and I didn't have to make the shaft longer than standard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best bang for the buck This shaft is the best that I have ever used! I get great distance, and because it's light weight, I can have a higher swing speed. The best kick point, you'll know when you get it! Don't waste your money on high priced shafts, this is the one especially for Callaway Drivers!

what is the shaft velocity and what is the bending ( high med. low)

Asked by: longjohn007
The ProLite 35 is a high bend point stiff shaft tip shaft that is designed to produce a low ball flight. The swingspeed ratings are 77 to 92 mph for an R flex, 93 to 107 mph for an S flex and 108 and higher for an X flex.

Is the ProLite 35 available in the original dark red (or burgundy) color? I really like that look. I think some later versions were all black, don't care for that look. Or is it possible to specify the burgundy if available?

Asked by: cikirk1
The ProLite 35 and ProLite HL that The GolfWorks exclusively carries are the dark burgundy color. Black is no longer available and has not been for several years.

i have a top flight diver with a pro launch shaft 60A is this flex good enough for a for a senior age 95 who hits 150yrds at present or should I have more more flex or a different shaft I'd like more distance. my swing is about 80mph

Asked by: will
I would suggest a shaft like the Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue 45 (TT0106) A flex and possibly even the L flex. This is a 45 gram weight shaft that is lighter and more flexible the the 60A flex shaft you currently have. http://www.golfworks.com/grafalloy-prolaunch-blue-45-65-graphite-wood-shafts/p/TT0106/

what is pureing

Asked by: golferdad
Shafts are not perfectly round or straight which can create some inconsistencies in shots. Puring shafts identifies these inconsistencies so that the shafts can be aligned in a consistent position and play as if they were perfectly round and straight. You can read and watch a video on shaft puring at the SST Pure web site at this link. http://sstpure.com/
