Grafalloy ProLite 35 Graphite Wood Shafts is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 20.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still the ONE! I started playing 12 years ago, and after testing a dozen or so shafts over 2 years, I definitively found this one the best for control and with the added bonus of great distance. I got a new driver in 2008 (which has a tip stiff UST 65, also a great shaft), but the face caved in last month. I got a new SQ STR8 fit from Nike. I didn't like the Axivcore Black shaft it comes with, so I pulled Grafalloy ProLite 35 from my old wood and put it in the Nike. Voila! The ball flight went back down, no loss of carry, and better control. This shaft it the ONE if you hit the ball high. Its high kick point/stiff tip design gives it a naturally low spinning trajectory with no ballooning. as other reviewers have stated, you can spend a lot more, but you won't get any more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shaft I was hitting my 8.5 Callaway driver higher than I wanted to. I put this shaft in and the trajectory came down to a better angle than the original manufacturer shaft. Distance and roll increased also. It's hard to believe a more expensive shaft could work any better than this one. I have tried many different shafts (Grafalloy and others) over the years and this is the one I love for my driver. More distance and I didn't have to make the shaft longer than standard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doing The Job! Put the shaft into a Maltby 3w Trouble Out type head. When I do my part the ball goes long and straight. Have hit it from the tee, fairway, and first cut of rough. Solid contact always gets good results. Very happy with the results. Club was assembled by the local Ottawa location. Short turnaround, and excellent build quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best bang for the buck This shaft is the best that I have ever used! I get great distance, and because it's light weight, I can have a higher swing speed. The best kick point, you'll know when you get it! Don't waste your money on high priced shafts, this is the one especially for Callaway Drivers!

I broke a Taylormade Burner driver shaft. The shaft was a Taylormade RE AX superspreed 50 gram reg flex manufactured by Fujikura in a Burner. I have tried several other drivers but this is my favorite and want to match the new shaft to fix it.

Asked by: mcallies1
If I matched it with a Fujikura shaft the Vista Pro 55 (FK0086) could be a good choice. The Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue 65 (TT0107) even though it is a little heavier would have similar playing characteristics. The Aldila NVS 55 (AL202202) could be another good choice.

What is the difference between the ProLite 35 and ProLaunch Red.? Their specs appear to be nearly identical. Also, how would their performance compare to the Graffaloy Blue?

Asked by: DeeCee
The Pro Lite 35 and ProLaunch Red are basically the same shaft and play and test very similar. The Grafalloy Blue is a stiffer shaft then the ProLite 35 and ProLaunch Red in the middle and tip section of the shaft. The Blue is bigger in diameter in the middle and bottom part of the shaft and that will make it play and test stiffer.

I need to replace a shaft in a Taylor made 5 series Driver. regular flex, 60 gram mid torque tip medium. Is this a good choice? or something else?

Asked by: paul
The ProLite 35 is a good choice if you are looking for a shaft to create a low ball flight. You might also look at a shaft like the Kuro Kage Black HBP 2nd Gen (MR0044) which is designed to produce a mid ball flight. The TM Series 5 driver used a .350" tip size so you will need to use the BB9008 (.335" size) TM adaptor for installing a .335" tip size shaft. https://www.golfworks.com/taylormade-r5-r7-burner-and-super-quad-adaptor/p/BB9008/

Can this be used for a TaylorMade Spdr Hybrid?

Asked by: Milleniumman
No it will not fit. The Taylor Made SLDR Hybrid uses a .370" tip size shaft and the ProLite 35 wood shaft is only available in a .335" tip size shaft. The Royal Precision Project X hybrid shaft has the same type of playing characteristics as the ProLite 35. It will fit your SLDR hybrid. https://www.golfworks.com/project-x-graphite-hybrid-shaft/p/TT0063/

what is the shaft velocity and what is the bending ( high med. low)

Asked by: longjohn007
The ProLite 35 is a high bend point stiff shaft tip shaft that is designed to produce a low ball flight. The swingspeed ratings are 77 to 92 mph for an R flex, 93 to 107 mph for an S flex and 108 and higher for an X flex.
