Graphite Design Tour AD DI Graphite Wood Shaft Specifications

Graphite Design Tour AD DI Graphite Wood Shafts is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Graphite Design Tour AD DI I bought the DI 5 stiff and I am blown away. I have always loved GD shafts for the smooth feel but now I got the distance and trajectory I have always wanted. I really can't believe how hard this thing kicks even when swinging smoothly. Truly the best shaft I have ever had. I put it into a R9 supertri by the way. High ball flight without balooning and some roll too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DI is Awesome! I recently bought the DI-6 Sitff after seeing my buddy's improvement in his R9 Dirver with this shaft. All I can say is explosive! I gained 10-15 yds and it is on a rope straight. Great Shaft for sure.

Orange 6 Series SR Flex? What does SR mean??? Thanks

Asked by: Ron Y
Graphite Design calls it a Stiff Regular. It is stiffer then the stock R flex and a little more flexible then the stock S flex.

.350"tip High Traj. who makes it

Asked by: andy
The only .350" tip size wood shafts we have are the Aldila NV 65 (1205W35) and the Aldila NVS 65 (AL202202). The NVS is a mid trajectory shaft and the NV a low/mid. I am not aware of anyone making a .350" tip high trajectory shaft these days. You would need to shim a .335" tip size shaft.

I been playing DI 6 SR, my usual short pattern fade. I use DI 6S on my 3 wood. My 3 wood goes longer than my Driver. If I use DI 5 S will it help my distance? Titleist 917 9.5deg head

Asked by: Fiaz
Using the lighter weight shaft could help you create more swingspeed and create more distance. When someone is hitting their 3 wood further then their driver it can be a sign that they do not have enough loft on their driver. You might try a driver with 10.5 degrees loft to see if that might work better for you.

Do you tip the Shaft before installing into the adapter then cut butt end to the length you desire ?

Asked by: Craig
We follow the shaft manufactures recommended tip trimming without making any changes for the shaft adaptor. The major club manufactures have told us that they do not make trimming adjustments for the shaft adaptors.

What is the difference in the "series" 5, 6, 7 and so on? Thanks

Asked by: David
The 5, 6 and 7 indicate the shaft weights. 5 is a 50 some gram weight shaft, 6 a 60 some gram weight shaft and 7 a 70 some gram weight shaft. The 5 will play a little more flexible then the 6 and the 6 a little more flexible then the 7 if they all have the same flex, say an S flex. The 5 and 6 are designed to produce a high trajectory and the 7 a mid high trajectory.

Does a AD DI 6s have the same flex as the 7s or is the 6x and 7s more similar? I have a swing speed of 98 and was surprised to hit my friends driver with the 6x shaft so well. I want to buy a DI shaft but am concerned that my swing speed is too slow for x

Asked by: SteveT
Generally the 7 will play a little stiffer then the 6 but I would not expect the 7S to be quite as stiff as the 6X. Unfortunately I have not had a chance to test the DI 7 shafts to be able to make a test comparison to the DI 6's. It is not uncommon that someone can play a stiffer shaft in a lighter weight shaft. Another option would be to take the DI6 S and tip it 1/2" to make it play between the S and X flexes.
