Graphite Design Tour AD DI Graphite Wood Shaft Specifications

Does a AD DI 6s have the same flex as the 7s or is the 6x and 7s more similar? I have a swing speed of 98 and was surprised to hit my friends driver with the 6x shaft so well. I want to buy a DI shaft but am concerned that my swing speed is too slow for x

Asked by: SteveT
Generally the 7 will play a little stiffer then the 6 but I would not expect the 7S to be quite as stiff as the 6X. Unfortunately I have not had a chance to test the DI 7 shafts to be able to make a test comparison to the DI 6's. It is not uncommon that someone can play a stiffer shaft in a lighter weight shaft. Another option would be to take the DI6 S and tip it 1/2" to make it play between the S and X flexes.

what is the difference between DI6 and DI5 ???

Asked by: Bill
The difference in the DI6 and DI5 is the shaft weight. The DI6 is 63.5 to 66.5 grams depending on flex, and the DI5 is 53.5 to 56.5 grams depending on flex.

Looking at the Tour AD Di shaft either R1 or R2, What is the standard length? And is there an additional charge for 46 inch length? Is there any difference between the orange and black other than color?

Asked by: Double D
There is no real standard playing length. It varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. The stock raw shaft length is 46". For a driver, you would install and cut to your final playing length from the butt end. There is no difference in the specifications between the orange and the black. Same shaft, different color.

am i suppose to tip trim a driver shaft if im going to use it with an adjustable adapter? does the adjustable adapter affect the stiffness/softness in a shaft vs a driver where the shaft is glued straight into the hosel?

Asked by: Andrew
No, you do not adjust the tip trimming when using a shaft adaptor. Follow the shaft manufactures recommended tip trimming instructions.
