Grip Bore Cleaner

Clean tape and residue from inside the grip before reinstalling. Bristles are spiral wound steel fibers and effectively remove dried-on tape or lumpy old tape residue. Another “must have” for the shop.
Grip Bore Cleaner is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Grip bore cleaner As the other reviewer states, this brush is only good for a few grips. I have tried several methods to remove the debris but none are successful. If anyone has a solution, I'd love to hear it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Grip bore cleaner This wire brush works for a couple applications, but tape residue builds up over the long run. Not very practical if you remove and clean a lot of grips.

Do you soak the grips in something to help with cleaning them out, when using the Grip Bore Cleaner? Could you also clean the tool in the dishwasher after use?

Asked by: eda1953
Personally I will use some grip solvent like your SOMQT along with the Grip Bore Cleaner to clean out the inside of the grips. I would not personally put the Grip Bore Cleaner in a dishwasher and I do not think it would do a good job cleaning it. Generally to clean the brush I will use a torch and burn away the excess tape that gets caught in the brush. Soaking the Bore Cleaner in grip solvent to soften the excess material can also make it easier to clean and remove this material.
