Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Density Means Less Tape I was using regular lead tape until I bought and used this high density lead tape, and the difference is noticeable. I use less tape and seem to be able to control the weight better. I can pinpoint where the weight goes to get the desired performance results. I won't go back to the standard weight tape. Great product at an even better price point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked as advertised Used tape on backside of driver and hybrids to increase swing weight. Cut easily with shears. Seems to stick well. Added 3 layers about 2" long to increase 3 points and smoothed out wrinkles. Almost looks like it was originally made like this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent tape for adding weight to a club!! I've used this tape to fine tune clubs that maybe off 1 or 2 swing wights. It's a quick an easy fix to balance all of the client's clubs to a consistant swing weight.

If I cut a 1/2" off one of my graphite shafted fairway woods how much of this lead tape would I need to add to the head of the club and where's a good place to put it on the head? Thanks , Gary

Asked by: gary3aces
1/2" is equal to 3 swingweight and it would take 6 grams or weight added to the clubhead to get this 3 swingweights. A 1" piece of this tape equals 1 gram you would need to use a 6" piece of this lead tape. I generally try to put it on the backside of the clubhead.

I bought a similar roll at Golfsmith and applied it to my irons.  Most of it has come off after two buckets of balls...poor adhesive.  Does Golfworks brand stick well?

Asked by: Rpwinaz
I have not heard any complaints regarding our High Density Lead Tape. It should work fine.

I'm a little confused... The most recent answer is contradictory - it says 7"=5 grams (answered 25 days ago).  But multiple answers say that 1"=1 gram. So, is 1"=1 gram?  Or is 5 grams = 7", making 1"= .714 grams?

I apologize for any wrong information that we might have posted. I just weighted it to be sure and 1" = 1 gram.
