So I have 6 of these to install in the stiff flex, according to the trim code IR9 I take the 5 iron and trim off 2 1/8" off the tip and then once installed to the head I then trim the butt head to my desired 5 iron length?

Asked by: Kyle O
You are correct. Trim the 2 1/8" from the tip (for the 5 iron), hen install he shaft. After installation you would trim to your final playing length from the butt end of the shaft.

In shaft ratings there is low, medium, and high. What exactly do those terms mean? How high is high and how low is low? I realize this might be subjective but I'm looking for some objective data. I'm looking at a Premium iron pak packages.

Asked by: Flash Gordon
With our MPF shaft codes when we sort the shafts into high, mid and low they are sorted by bend point and tip stiffness. A high trajectory will be a shaft with a low bend point and soft tip stiffness. A mid trajectory shaft will be mid bend point and medium tip stiffness and a low trajectory shaft will be a high bend point and stiff or firm tip stiffness. There are also so variations such as mid/low bend point and med/soft tip would still be put into the high trajectory catagory. It is always going to be somewhat subjective because it can just work differently for different players and shaft weight can have an effect on trajectory as well. Generally the majority of players are going to hit the high trajectory shaft higher and the low trajectory shafts lower.

For replacement shafts I am looking for a 2B2M, 3B3H or 4B3H this shaft has a 4B2H code does that mean these won't work for the clubs I am going to replace the shafts on?

Asked by: firethorngreen
Keep in mind that the 2, 3 & 4 at the beginning of each code represents the shaft flex. 2 is Senior flex, 3 is Men's Regular flex and 4 is Stiff flex. This code is to help your pick a shaft that best fits your needs or specifications. With the 4B2H code the 4 tells you it is a stiff flex. The B tells you it is a mid weight shaft. The 2 tells you it is a medium trajectory shaft and the H tells you it can help correct a hook. To make recommendations for the clubs you have it would help us to know which clubs you have. Manufacture and model. Different models use different tip diameter shafts.

The Vapor Fly Pro irons use a .355" taper tip so any of the KBS shafts offered in a .355" tip diameter will fit these irons.
