KBS Tour V .355" Steel Iron Shafts

The KBS TOUR V shaft is a slightly modified version of the the popular KBS Tour shafts. The KBS Tour V shafts are lighter than the original KBS Tour shafts and also feature a larger tube diameter to produce a mid level launch angle with lower spin for a significantly tighter shot dispersion.

  • Delivers a medium trajectory, low spinning golf shot with a smooth all-around feel
  • Maximizes energy transfer for smooth feel and faster ball speeds
  • Available in 3 flexes from 100grams to 120grams

KBS Tour V Shaft Specs

KBS Tour V Steel Iron Shafts is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Changed balance point compared to Dynamic Gold I replaced a True Temper Dynamic Gold Sensicore R300 with the KBS Tour V Stiff shaft in my 8 iron as a test, as recommended by the KBS website shaft selector. It weighs 110g vs. 127g for DG. The butt end has noticeably less taper than the DG so the grip feels a little larger in my rt hand (ri handed). The weight distribution has help me put less tension and effort into initiating my down swing and develop a better feel for lag. It has also helped me with my other irons that still have DG shafts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb As an older person I have been down the blind alley of trying lighter weigh, softer flex shafts and have done a U turn, With the Tour V in X flex. What a great shaft, no boardy feel, in fact very smooth and consistent, ball goes where you aim. Shafts have a distinct spine on my aligner and recommend this be done for proper installation. I was huge fan of the Rifle shafts some years ago. Looks like Kim Braly has done it again

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mr. I ordered the KBS Tour V in my Cobra Bio-Cell Plus irons and they are the best combination for feel, consistency, and distance that I have ever had. TM numbers don't lie!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too stiff Ordered a 7 and 3 iron shafts for my taper tip RSI tours to see if these would be better than C taper lites that go nowhere for me. Mistake!! 7 iron felt good and I hit it a bit further but the 3 iron felt like a pole and trajectory was to low. Having a lot of trouble finding a KBS shaft that will work for me!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tour V Shafts Wow! I have used True Temper, ProjectX and now the KBS Tour V. These shafts feel incredible and have a nice mid ball flight. The distance is about the same as the other shafts but these feel much smoother. I would highly recommend trying these shaft.

When you "pure" the shaft for me is there some sort of marking that lets me know how to install the head to stay on the proper line?

Asked by: MikeVulfo
Yes, the shaft is marked and instructions are sent to show how to orient the mark when installing.

I am re-shafting Titleist AP1 irons and need them to be 1/2" long. Do I need to purchase a 7 iron shaft for my 8 iron to get the additional length?

Asked by: keith
No you will still use the 8 iron shaft. The 8 iron shaft is 37.5" long and when you install it into the AP1 8 iron it will measure in the 38.75" range. The clubheads adds approximately 1.25" to the finished length of the club. If you installed the 7 iron shaft into the 8 iron the shaft will play a little more flexible.

Can these shafts be hard/soft stepped? In general, can .355 tip shafts be stepped or is that not recommended?

Asked by: PoorGolfer58
Yes these can be hard/soft stepped. Any Discrete Length shaft, which means there is a shaft designed for each club number, can be hard/soft stepped. There are some Discrete Length .370" parallel tip shafts as well.

What is the FCM for the KBS Tour V 110? I cannot find any information on this spec.

Asked by: Snyper58
By FCM (Frequency Coefficient Matching) I assume you are looking for a frequency number. I do not have an assembled club frequency for this shaft but the raw frequency on the 39" #5 iron shaft is 360 cpm's.

I'm currently using the CFS regular shaft from Ping in the G30. 7 iron length at 37"  7 iron at 150 yards. I want to use the KBS shaft in the new Mizuno 900 non forged heads same spec as the Ping in length and shaft flex/weight. Which shaft should I use?

Asked by: Old guy
The Ping CFS R flex shaft is listed as a 100 gram weight shaft and a mid launch shaft. The KBS Tour V R flex (FS0036) specifications wise matches to the CFS Ping shaft and could work well.

Are the butt-to-tip step pattern measurements on KBS tapered iron shafts/ALL MODELS available anywhere? If they are available, where can I find them?

Asked by: grglgolf
Send me an email at jyachinich@golfworks.com asking for this information. I have a spreadsheet set up with all this information that I would be glad to send you.

Looking to replace my iron shafts with kbs tour v. Not sure what flex to get. I have an 110 mph driver swing. What would you suggest?

Asked by: Paid2playlv
A 110 mph driver swingspeed puts you into the low range of an X flex. We also reference using a 9 iron or wedge from 150 yards for an X flex and an 8 iron from 150 yards for an S flex.
