Lead Shaft Tip Weights

Lead Shaft Tip Weights are epoxied into the shaft tip during assembly to achieve you desired swingweight. Available for steel .335" wood, steel .370" iron and most graphite shafts these shaft tip weights fit a maximum .285 inside diameter for steel wood shafts, .312 inside diameter for steel iron shafts and .148 diameter for both iron and wood graphite shafts. Sold in packages of 6 weights each.
Lead Shaft Tip Weights is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from PX Shafts I asked if the lead weights for irons would fit in tapered tip shafts or only .370 parallel. Customer service said either so I bought a pack of each weight. I PX95 pulls that had been drilled out and brand new PX 5.5's the weights were too faat and had to be hammered into the shaft peeling off lead all around. I would not recommend these for taper tip shafts -ONLY-parallel.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from STEEL IRON ONES DO NOT FIT 0.355 TAPERED TIP IRONS The description of this auction is lacking. I assumed that since there was a separate listing for 0.370 lead iron tip weights that these must be the ones for 0.355 tapered tips. This is not correct. These steel iron tip weights will not fit. You will need brass tip weights specifically for 0.355 tips.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from sizing The catalog needs to list steel iron shaft sizing for these items. ie) for .370 or .355 shafts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid weights If you are messing around/changing swing weights go with the brass, cause when you heat to remove the club head the lead weights go soft, but if its a install and done then the lead weights are perfect for the price

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good weights but how accurate? Ordered a few bags of different weights. All were accurate except for the 10g iron plugs. All were closer to 8g. It might have been a mix up and the wrong bag got thrown in the shipment. No big deal, just odd.

How are these shaft tip weights installed?

Asked by: DFred
The tip weights are epoxied into the tip end during club assembly. Here is a You Tube video by a customer of our did and explains how the weights are used. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2mEVHn2NeE

I'm boring out a set of Hogan Magnum irons from .355 taper tip to .370. How much club head weight would I be removing? Would need to add that back with shaft tip weights to keep from changing the club's feel, true ?

Asked by: slmealor
Hard to know for sure how much weight you will be removing, but probably around 4 grams. Whether you need to add any back depends on the shaft you will be replacing and the grip weight you will be using. If the shaft weight and the grip weight are similar to what you are replacing, you may need to add some weight back in the form of a tip weight. Suggestion would be to bore out the heads, cut the shafts, then dry assemble the club before you epoxy them together. Check the swing weight to see where you stand before you epoxy or install the grip. Most swingweight scales will allow you to balance the grip on the grip end of the shaft, or tape it to the shaft to simulate what the swingweight will be once assembled.

Do you NOT sell .355 tip shafts weights?

Asked by: chilidipper
You use the .335" tip size wood weights in .355" taper tip shafts. The shoulder will not keep them from going up inside the shaft and epoxy will secure them in place. A .355" taper tip shaft tapers on the inside of the shaft as well so it is not possible to make a weight to properly fit inside the shaft and because the .335" tip size works they never made one .355".

For Dynamic Gold taper tip iron shafts you need to use the .335" tip diameter wood weights. They will work well.
