Maltby KE4 Hybrid Club Heads LH

The main purpose of a hybrid is to replace those difficult to hit long irons or high lofted fairways with a club that is much easier to hit high and soft at a specific distance. The mass dimensional properties of a hybrid, coupled with their added shaft length, make it difficult to simply pick a hybrid by loft. The KE4’s “Screw-Within-A-Screw” weighting system allows the golfer numerous shaft length, weight or material options to attain the desired ball flight and distances.

  • Cast 17-4 Stainless Steel
  • “Screw-Within-A-Screw” weighting system allows head weight to be reduced by 8 grams or increased by 6 grams
  • Slight hosel offset for improved alignment
  • LH available in 18°, 21° , 24° loft options
  • FREE weight wrench
  • Recommended ferrule – 52PI
  • Product Code = MA0037L

Were there some production issues with these heads? I recently bought an 18 degree hybrid. It is no where near a .370 bore. I tried to put a 370 tipped shaft in, that I also just bought, it's not gonna fit. What is the bore dimension?

These hybrids were a .370" hosel bore. It is possible the bore could be a little tight. Generally .370" hosel bores are close to .375". It is also possible that the shaft tip is larger then .370", especially with graphite shafts. A .370" tip size graphite shaft is made to .370" then painted and clear coted and I have measured shafts in the .380" range. Many time the shaft has to be sanded before it will install into the clubhead.

What's the loft? What irons would this hybrid possibly replace?

Asked by: TC grain
The loft is 18 degrees. At 18 degrees it could replace an 2 or 3 iron.
