Maltby KE4 ST-2 Driver Pak is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long with a big sweet spot Bought the pack as I had previously had used the Maltby shaft in another driver. I picked this driver as I do not adjust drivers shafts because I "pure" or spin shafts and then FLO (flat line oscillation) all my shafts which cuts down dispersion. The driver was longer out of the box and for a 7 hdcp 67 yo guy it is just what the doctor ordered.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Club I just bought a new one to replace the one I played for a little over two years that developed a crack in the top of the head. That's the reason I didn't give it 5 stars. The first one was paired with a Mamiya V5 6F4 shaft. This time I went with the MPF shaft in this club pack. I still love this club. Solid feel at impact with a nice sound.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not a Magic Stick My all-time favorite driver, a Golfsmith SnakeEyes 685, 11.5 deg loft, developed a crack on the upper surface just below the hosel. That driver was awesome because it was long with huge hang time, had a huge sweet spot, and it allowed me to easily work the ball both directions. Since Golfsmith is now out of business, I was hoping the Maltby KE4 ST-2 would be an adequate replacement. First issue: the highest loft available is 10.5 deg but thought that might not matter much. Turns out I have to basically hit a fade to get adequate hang time and carry distance; however, the carry distance is 20-25 yards shorter than I was getting with my SE 685. When I set up and hit a draw, forget it. It's a low boring shot with very little carry. Not the magic stick I hoped it would be. I'll admit I haven't given it much time or tinkering. I'm going to add a heavier port screw to see what that does, and maybe switch out a shaft or two. Seems like a lot of trouble compared to the SE 685 that was hot to go right out of the box.

I'm 70 and would like to have a driver made at 44 to 44.5 " with a a or r flex that's not too lite. what weigth shaft can I use?

Asked by: GARY
Many A flex options are no in the 50-60 gram range and there are numerous R flex options in those ranges as well. Generally, the advantage of the lighter weight shafts is the increased swing speed that can occur. If you are concerned about 50 gram or 60 gram shafts being too light, there are a few 70 gram R shaft options. I think if you look in the 65 to 69 gram range you might maintain the feel you are looking for and still have it light enough to help generate your best speed.

I'm 60 years old, the shaft test says I need a 2D3M shaft. Do I want a R or A flex?

Asked by: badgolfer
You would want the A flex. The 2 in 2D3M indicates an A flex.

Will this driver head be available in a higher loft: eg: 11 or 12 deg/

Asked by: Had 1
The KE4 ST-2 Driver will not be offered in additional lofts. There is a +/- 1 degree tolerance on the loft spec. We can hand pick a head that has 11 or possibly 11.5 degrees of loft.

With this pak, and in stiff flex, what would be the standard finished club length?  Also, what would be the standard swing weight?  I just need to know if I need to make any requests/changes before ordering, thank you.
