Maltby KE4 ST-A1 Driver Views

The KE4 ST-A1 adjustable driver is a game changer! Game changing in that it gives professional club fitters and avid golfers the ability to customize driver head specifications to optimize ball flight. Using a proven adjustable hosel design that allows 26 distinct settings, the ST-A1 designed square face angle can be adjusted from 3 degrees closed to 3 degrees open by changing the FCT adjustable hosel sleeve settings using the FCT torque wrench. Multiple options in between the maximum closed (C) and open (O) location allow for face angle adjustments at lesser amounts, providing true fine tuning of directional flight and trajectory. In additions, the lie angle can be adjusted independent of the face angle. The "N" or neutral setting provides a standard lie angle and the "NU" neutral upright setting on the FCT adaptor provides a 1.5 degree upright lie angle. Two designed loft options provide vertical flight control, with the 9.5 degree loft option providing low-to-mid trajectories and the 10.5 degree loft option providing mid-to-high trajectories. Players of all skill levels, with the right amount of adjustment, can find the perfect setting to optimize their ball flight.

FCT Standard Hosel Settings

  • "N" Setting - The "'N" setting is used for a neutral face angle, lie angle and designed loft angle. This setting promotes a straight ball flight and a trajectory true to the designed loft angle
  • "O" Setting - The "O" setting can be used to the club face. This setting promotes a left-to-right ball flight helping to reduce hooks with a trajectory true to the driver heads designed loft angle.
  • "C" Setting - The "C" setting can be used to close the club face. - This setting promotes a right-to-left ball flight helping to reduce slices with a trajectory true to the drivers designed loft angle.
  • "NU" Setting - The "NU" setting is used for a neutral or square face angle with an upright lie angle. This setting promotes a draw and a trajectory true to the drivers designed loft.

Maltby KE4 ST-A1 Driver Clubhead Specifications

Maltby KE4 ST-A1 Driver is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Driver Absolutely a great driver! It is absolutely a beast and has a great sound to it. Very forgiving and adjustable hosel and weight port adjustability is great for dialing in ball flight and the swingweight I want for my 44.5" driver. Only complaint I have is the head I was sent had a small ding in the paint on the crown I had to fillin with a sharpie.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great head for your $$$ Had this driver built for me by my dad. It was fit with an Aldila Serrano Stiff shaft that was trimmed for a bit more stiffness. This driver is a monster. I still need to tweak it a bit to find a sweet spot, but set on Neutral I feel comfortable addressing the ball and launching it well over 300yrds. The loud PING sound it makes is nice too. Total assembled cost was about $225. You can't find a driver of this quality for anywhere near that cost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality driver I thought I need this head for its adjustable features, but after assembly at zero adjustment for face angle, I am hitting longer and straighter than ever. Great investment.

Is the 10.5 degree loft KE4 ST-A1 driver head available? If so, how do I order that one and is it also $89.99? Your web site only shows the 9.5 degree head. Thank you.

Asked by: Steve
The KE4 ST-A1 driver has been discontinued and we are sold out of the 10.5 degree heads. We replaced the ST-A1 driver with the ST-A2 (MA0258).

I have a 2.5 year old KE4 ST.A1 driver - R flex MPF 3B3M shaft & like this club. I am 75 - Sw speed~ 80. I play 150 times/yr & need a new one. Should I just get one like I have or would you suggest a different model? Lighter  shaft?  Customer # 311106

Asked by: Fred
I would suggest the newer version ST-2A (MA0258). You might look at this Club Pak (PMA0258) that has our MPF Distance shaft, which is a 3B3M shaft. We have had good feedback from this combination.

I currently have a Titleist 915 D2 adjustable head driver with an Accra FX 140 M3 Dynatec shaft. My fairway woods are same shaft but FX 130. I hit the fairway woods like a champ but can't hit the driver out of my shadow. Your help with be appreciated

Asked by: Tara
Thank you for the response. I am thinking it might not be the shaft but maybe the driver head. I have heard Titleist have smaller sweet spots. Not sure, just been told that. So, I was curious if one of your driver heads might be the solution.

what kind of shaft is in this driver

Asked by: AL T
The code MA0227 is for just the clubhead. This is not an assembled club. This shaft can be assembled for you with any shaft that we stock. We do offer this Club Pak for this driver and right now the assembly is free. You can contact GolfWorks Canada for more information or questions.

Since this is a closeout head, how long will we be able to purchase adapters that will fit in them?

Asked by: Michael CCLGolf
With the driver being discontinued it is not likely that we will bring in any more of the shaft adaptors. We currently show that we have 24 of the shaft adaptors in stock. (MA0227H)

Do you have it with the shaft and grip included?

Asked by: Par3king
The MA0227 driver is a discontinued product and at this time we are selling them as heads only. At the discounted price it is not likely that we could offer this in a Pak with a shaft and grip. To be sure it would be best for you to contact GolfWorks Canada.
