Maltby KE4 Tour Hybrids

Maltby KE4 Tour Hybrid Views

The KE4 Tour Hybrids feature stand alone performance but were also designed to compliment both the KE4 Tour and KE4 Forged iron models by providing an easy to hit replacement for long and mid irons. With a slightly deeper face height, square set up and decreased head volume preferred by traditionalist and better players, the KE4 Tour hybrids still provide unparalleled performance benefiting any caliber of player. Regardless of the face height or volume, Advanced Shell Technology insures the proper mass distribution for optimum performance. Dual Sole Rails and the adjustable weight screw locates mass low and rearward, increasing MOI and lowering the vertical center of gravity (.785) well below the golf balls equator for increased stability, forgiveness and distance control.

Designed for modern standard playing lengths (40.5- 19, 40 22, 39.5 25) the KE4 Tours interchangeable weights allow for multiple playing lengths and shaft weights to ensure precision gap fitting when transitioning from irons to fairway woods.

  • Precision Cast from 17-4 Stainless Steel
  • Dual Sole Rails and sole radius enhance ground contact.
  • Satin black PVD finish for durability.
  • Available in 3 lofts 19 (H3), 22 (H4) and 25 (H5) to replace hard to hit long irons providing more consistency in trajectory, distance and dispersion.
  • .370 bore diameter.
  • Product Code = MA0217

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MALTBY KE4 TOUR HYBRID I AM A CUSTOM CLUBMAKER, I ORDERED THIS FOR A CUSTOMER WITH THE CLUB PAK. THE SHAFT IS A PERFECT FIT AND PERFORMS PERFECTLY. I WAS SO IMPRESSED WITH THE PERFORMANCE OF THIS CLUB I ORDERED ON FOR MYSELF. THE MALTBY MPF SHAFT THAT COMES WITH THE CLUB PAK PERFORMS SO WELL I DO NOT BELIEVE THERE COULD BE ANY IMPROVEMENT EVEN WITH A MORE EXPENSIVE SHAFT.THESE SHAFTS RUN A LITTLE STIFFER THAN WHAT THEY ARE MARKED. THERE IS NOTHING LOST ON DISTANCE OR CONTROL. BOTH CLUB PAKS WERE ORDERED WITH THE A FLEX SHAFT ON MY DIGI FLEX THE CPMS WERE READING LIKE A REGULAR FLEX SHAFT. IF ANY ONE WANTS QUALITY AT A REASONABLE PRICE THIS IS THE HEAD SHAFT COMBO TO ORDER.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easiest Hybrid I've hit I bought this club after I was moving away from my Adams and looking at Ping hybrids. I picked this up for the price and it's resemblence to the Ping hybrids. I shafted it with an Xcaliber Tour Hybrid shaft and it the easiest hybrid I have hit to date, I've tested all the major brands too. I got the #3 19* and with the shaft it has turned out to be an easy 230 club for me. The face is dead square at address and has to my a little deeper face which allows me to hit down on it. I would reccomend this club to anyone looking for a forgiving yet players looking hybrid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Distance I ordered the KE4 Tour Hybrid club pak in #4 22* with the Maltby shaft. The first thing that comes to mind is easy distance. It's designed to replace the 3iron and performs brilliantly. It flies dead straight and comes down very soft. Shot dispertion is minimal. I am a very low single digit hp and was reluctant to use the so called low buck shaft in the pak but I am thouroghly impressed. Distance falls in right around 220 with little to no drama. It is also very easy to work the ball in either direction, will be ordering the 3 and the 5 as well. Easy distance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from tried hybrids, hated them...love this one Bought the Maltby pack to replace my 5-6 iron and put it together at Christmas. Spined and FLOed the shaft as I do on all my clubs. First time I hit it was a little longer than my 5 iron and very solid in feel. Have hit it several times afterward and just gets better and better. Solid feel, can work the ball either way, grip down 1" and it travels slightly longer than my 6 iron did. But much better out of the rough than my 5 or 6. Love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid feel I assembled the 19 degree with a True Temper S300 at 40.5" length, and the first day I hit it, I was very impressed! The heavy head had a very solid feel with about a 220 yard distance. It also hits easily out of the rough. This club will replace my 2 iron and 7 wood and I will use this instead of my driver on shorter and tighter holes. I only wish they made this in a lower degree loft to replace my driver completely.

Are there any hybrid graphite shafts that do not have to be pure'd that match well with this model hybrid head? thanks

Asked by: AERO
No shaft has to be Pured but they all tend to perform more consistent if they are. There is no such thing as a perfectly round perfectly straight shaft and having a shaft Pured and aligning it into the clubhead makes it play as if it were perfectly round and straight. Our MPF Series Hybrid shaft (MA0250) matches well with these heads as do most hybrid shafts if their specifications fit the players needs.

I am looking to build to a D3 swing weight. If I were to install the Aldila Proto (x flex) hybrid shaft with a regular 48 gram grip at 40.25 in the 22 degree head, what size weight would you recommend I have installed in the head?

Asked by: Gus
When I do a calculation based on the spec. weight of the clubhead it comes up right at D1 so you would need to change the stock 6 gram weight to a 10 gram weight. I am not sure of the balance point of this shaft and that could effect the swingweight a little.

what is the volume of KE-4 tour hybrid.weight needed to build at D-1 to D-3 at 381/2 inch length, with 76 gram shaft.

Asked by: guru
The volume for the KE4 Tour Hybrids is 110cc's. If you tell me which loft you are looking at for the 38.5" I can give you a good idea if the swingweight you want will work.
