What swing weight would the KE4+ Tour irons be fitted with standard 6 gram weights and TT XP105 R300 shafts and standard Lamkin grips.

Asked by: KOT
The swingweight for our standard length 5 iron at 37.75" would come up in the C7 to C8 range with a standard 50 gram Lamkin grip and XP105 R300 shaft.

jimY, I purchased the ke4 tour+ irons. If I install the 14g weights will their be an influence in regard ball flight? i.e.discourage or promote either a fade or draw? will it change m.o.i? center of gravity? or will it only change the swing weight?

Asked by: atbazzy1
Adding weight to a clubhead will make the shaft play a little more flexible. 1 swingweight is equal to 1 cpm in a frequency machine. It will not effect ball flight in terms of a fade or draw. It will very slightly increase the MOI reading and very slightly move the COG in the direction of where the weight is added.

I just recently purchased the Maltby KE4 Tour + iron heads with the standard 6g weight. I had the KBS Tour X Stiff 6.0 133g .370 shafts installed. How can I achieve a D3/D4 swing weight with the available weight options? Which weights should I buy.

Asked by: atbazzy1
The easiest way to know how much weight you need to add would be to know the swingweight of the clubs as they are now. If you purchased the Club Pak for these irons and have standard lengths and standard grip sizes the swingweight should be in the C8 to C9 range. Changing the 6 gram weight to a 14 gram weight will increase the swingweight by 4 swingweights or take C8 to D2 and C9 to D3.

Changing std 6 gram weight in KE 4 stf deep 3 wood to a 12 gram weight- how will that effect ball flight?

Asked by: Ron 49
Changing from the 6 gram weight to the 12 gram weight increased the swingweight by 3 swingweights and adding 3 swingweights will soften the flex of the shaft by 3 cycles in a frequency machine. The more flexible shaft will hit the ball higher. The added weight to the clubhead will very slightly change the CG but it is a very minor effect. Even the shaft flex change is a minor effect. If the added weight gives you better feel and control and helps you hit the ball on the center of the clubface more often that will be the biggest effect.

how many grams of weight to change swing weight 1 point. Example C5 to D2

Asked by: dick0325
2 grams of clubhead weight is equal to 1 swingweight which would be from C5 to C6. To change from C5 to D2, which is seven swingweights, you would need to add 14 grams of weight.

What are the standard weights fitted to the KE4 iron heads? Can you order the heads with 14g weight fitted instead? What's shipping to UK for 5 heads? Thanks!

Asked by: Andy
The KE4 S iron heads come with two 4 gram weights. The KE4 Tour+ comes with one gram weight. We do not have a service where we change the weights before shipping, but you can order the additional weights and wrench so you can change the weights. You will need to contact our international representative at dours@golfworks.com to get the shipping options and rates to your address.
