Maltby M-Series TE Forged Iron Pak is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW..... WOW....is the best word to describe these irons/shaft combination. A Maltby certified club fitter recommended these irons and my first thought was....."really". I had never heard of Maltby irons. boy was I in for a surprise. These irons are as solid as an forged club out there and every bit as good as my Callaways that have now been sold. Excellent launch angle on every iron, solid feedback on off center hits and distance control is spot on. As a 3 handicap golfer, these irons were the ticket for me. I have played 2 rounds and hit all but 2 greens in regulation. I HIGHLY recommend these irons. Very workable as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality, great value and a valued experience I purchased this set of clubs about a month ago and have used them sufficiently to be able to comment on them with reasonable authority. I was immediately impressed with the quality of the heads and then the quality of, and obvious pride taken in the build. On course I have been impressed with the feel and playability of the set and having been a long standing Mizuno man I can only say that I should have been brave enough to take this step sooner and saved myself a heap of money as M are even more expensive in OZ than in the US. I was also very pleased with all other steps taken in dealing with your company from a distance and would recommend the experience to all. Kindest regards and thank you, Peter Anderson

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Maltby TE forged Recently received (3-PW) set and have played them 5 rounds. A few observations: making more solid contact and flying the ball truer than I have in many years. I am currently 14 handicap although anticipate that going down with these irons. The combination of flatter lie and longer length (I know that sounds contradictory) have made all the difference. Overall., the best club decision I have made in a long time. Try a set and enjoy, I would be surprised if they don't help your game.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice clubs-BUT Ordered these at standard length and played once for 9 holes finding out that they we're too short in length. I contacted golfworks over the issue and was told I could return them at MY cost and have them put extensions on the shafts at 5$ a club then I was to pay for shipping costs once again to get them back in my possession, so this was not to my liking. I have since reshafted them with shafts I had from a older set of irons so game on. The nice lady I had spoken to at golfworks said she had another customer with the same issue.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Clubs in looks and feel I put these together for myself, and I love them. They hit long, straight, and feel great. The club pak is a great deal and this is a bargain. These clubs compare with $1100 sets by the "big" names. Everyone comments about how good they look, and when they try them, they say they feel really solid. Thank you for designing such a good club, even for a below average player like me to enjoy. I have lowered my handicap with these by a few strokes. Vic

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great clubs! Amazing value for money! I played Titleist MB 710's for the last five years. With less time to practice, it became harder to hit the center of the club, so I went looking for something more forgiving. The TE forged irons not only look great, they also provide fantastic feedback on good strikes. It's very easy to work the ball with the TE forged irons and the off center hits produce decent results. For the price, you cannot go wrong with these clubs!!

Does Golfworks offer the option to have shafts spined and FLO'd during assembly? or do they strictly assemble based on the shaft label? Thanks

Asked by: Dave
We offer the SST Pure service, which is the most precise method of marking a shaft orientation for assembly. The charge is $19.50 per shaft for the service, but more than 4 shafts the price drops to $17.50 per shaft.

Do you have plans to launch a 'one length' irons pak? I believe the clubheads weights would need to be the same through the set in that case, correct?

Asked by: Marko
Sorry, we do not have a One Length iron set in development. Yes, most one-length sets have all of the same head weights.

Can we order iron paks with some changes? Could I order a part pak (for example 5 iron - PW) or replace a 3 iron with a GW? Also for this pak could I swap out the shaft for something in a similar price range (i.e. FST 125)? Thanks!

Asked by: danny pinseeker
Paks are priced based on the set make up of each pak. Substitutions can be made, but the price of the pak can change as well. If you simply want the change a 3-PW for a 4-GW same model, no problem. If you want to change more than one of the components of the pak, then it is no longer a pak and individual component pricing will be charged. For substitutions to the listed pak components, you will have to call in to place the order. Call 800 848-8358.

These irons came out in 2010. Does this mean that if I order a set they were made in 2010 or have you been making them since? Thanks so much, Geoff

Asked by: VBHANDS
Actually we first introduced this iron in 2003 as the Logic Tradition M-05 iron and it was later changed to the MTF (Maltby True Forged) version and finally in 2010 the TE Forged. The clubheads are exactly the same and still being made from the original tooling. The TE Forged has the newest USGA conforming grooves. We continue to manufacture these and they continue to sell well for us.

How do these compare to mp54 mizunos? Can I get a stiff shaft in these irons vs. regular in the pack with the building?

Asked by: Jptracey
The TE Forged irons are a more forgiving design then the MP54 Mizuno irons. With the Score LT shafts if we are doing the assembly you can request either R or S flex. The R/S flex shaft is a combination flex shaft design that can be trimmed to either R or S flex.
