What will be the finished lengths of a set of irons made with MMB -17 heads with 50 g grip to achieve a D2 swingweight? I have a set of MMB-17 heads and I am interested in installing these shafts. How do these compare to xp-115 R300 in launch?

Asked by: Jason
With the MPF graphite iron shaft R flex the 5 iron finished length to get a D2 swingweight would have to be 39". The launch compared to the XP115 R300 should be similar.

is it $17.99 per shaft? if so how many are there in a case and how much?

Asked by: Cricket
$17.99 is the price. There is no specific case quantity, however, we can quote on volume quantities. You would need to contact our customer service department to get a specific price quote for a volume quantity of any particular item.

Does maltby have a graphite wedge shaft or would you use these?

Asked by: cmcd
The MPF iron shafts do not have a Wedge specific shaft, but the MA0251 MPF iron shafts can be used in wedges. Simply follow the trimming instructions for a wedge (trim 3" from he tip, then to final playing length from the butt after installation).

Similarly, can you also suggest an iron shaft for a Cleveland TA5 iron set? SPF rating was 3B3F or 3C3M. Looking for high launch, lighter, control/dist shaft. Slow swing speed. 7 iron=150y. 59 yrs old

Asked by: Max
I would recommend the same shafts for these irons as that I recommended for Taylor Made Rocketbladz irons. They could also work well in these irons.

Can you suggest iron shaft to replace a TT REAX 90 R-Flex shaft from Taylormade RbladeZ iron set? SPF rating was 3B3F or 3C3M. I cant control these irons. Looking for high launch, lighter, control/dist shaft. Slow swing speed. 7 iron=150y. 59 yrs old

Asked by: Max
Our Maltby MPF shafts could be a good choice and will match with the Rocketbladz irons. Another option could be the Xcaliber (AS0023). They are also designed for a mid/high trajectory and are a 75 gram weight shaft in an R flex. Your 7 iron from 150 yards in our recommendations is an R flex. The AldaLite (AL0056) at 64 grams is a lighter weight shaft that could be another good option. https://www.golfworks.com/axe-xcaliber-graphite-irons-shafts/p/AS0023/ https://www.golfworks.com/aldila-aldalite-graphite-iron-shafts/p/AL0056/

Hi I play Cobra forged CB irons. The shafts are Dynamic gold 300R. I hit my 4 iron 190 yd’s. I hit an 8 or 9 from 150 yd’s. I would like to change the shafts on my irons to graphite. Can you suggest a shaft and flex? Thanks Joe

Asked by: Spuder
Using an 8 or 9 iron from 150 yards would put you into a Stiff flex shaft. The Cobra CB forged irons use a .355" taper tip shaft. Shafts like the Aerotech Steel Fiber 95CW (AT0015IE) and 110 CW (AT0017IE) could be good choices. We also have the UST Recoil 95 (US0085), 110 (US0087) & 125 (US0088) which could also work well for you. These models have been popular choices that will fit your Cobra iorns. The numbers such as 110 represent the shaft weight.

Hi Jim. Can you please suggest a best march graphite for a Maltby TE Forged iron. I have a set with Maltby 75 I senior shafts and the feel is not as solid as I had hoped. My swing speed is 77MPH measured on separate days on the Mizuno Swing DNA system.

Asked by: Roger
I have some demo's in the school assembled with UST Recoil 670 and 680 shafts and the feedback has been very good. We use the Kuro Kage Black 2nd Gen (MR0046) in a number of our Club Paks with good feedback. The Xcaliber Iron shaft (AS0023) and Tour X Iron (AS0036) both match well. I have played the Xcaliber Iron shaft (AS0023) an it is a very solid feeling shaft to me.
