 Matrix Kujoh Shaft Specifications

Matrix Kujoh Graphite Iron Shafts is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Club pro These shafts are great for a variety of golfers. Had them put in my own new irons as a lightweight option was not available in a tour iron. They are responsive and have a great feel. Would definitely recommend trying them in a club fitting.

as I tip shorten the shaft does the torque reduce?

Asked by: ozzie626
Yes, the torque value will decrease as you tip the shaft. It depends on the specific shaft design as to how much the torque decreases per inch. Typically shafts will a shorter tip parallel section will decrease more than those with long parallel tip sections.

Looking to add these to my Hybrids. Driver swing speed 98-100, carry my 5 hybrid 180, 190 with my 4 and 205 with my 3. They are Taylormade Jetspeed hybrids. Any advice on weight and stiffness? Currently using a 75 gram S shaft in the 3 hybrid.

I actually play the 75 Matrix Kujoh iron shafts in my irons. In testing I did found them to play a little more flexible then normal. I use the R flex that I tip trimmed an extra 1/2". You would definitely want the S flex in this shaft and I would suggest staying with the 75. This shaft does have a higher balance point which for me allowed me to make them 1/2" longer then what I was using and keep the swingweight basically the same as I had before.

I currently have the R15 TP with the tour stiff speeder shaft.. It just feels too stiff and heavy.. my swing speed is between 90 and 100 with the driver.. I was just fitted for KBS stiff tour 90 shafts in my irons.. can you tell me the proper driver shaft

Asked by: terry4421
Fujikura lists the Speeder 661TS flex shaft as being 68 grams, 3.5 degrees torque and a mid launch shaft. With your swingspeed being in the 90 to 100 mph. range we would put you more into an R or S flex or set up a flex in between and R and S flex. We use 92 mph. as the high end of an R flex and S flex shafts between 93 and 107 mph. We know from testing that the KBS Tour 90 iron shafts play more flexible then normal which is common for the KBS lightweight shafts. Without know more about your swing then swingspeed it is hard to say for sure which shaft might be best for you. If the current shaft feels to heavy then going to a lighter weight shaft. In Fujikura's line you might look at the Pro 53. Also the Mitsubishi Kuro Kage Black HBP 2nd Gen 50 Wood shaft.

I have steelhead X-16 pro series irons, and am wanting to go to graphite shafts. Swing speed is 90 -100, currently carry 5 iron approximately 170 yds. what kind of shafts do you recommend. no hook or slice with stiff shafts- True Temper.

Asked by: mulliganman
The Matrix Kujoh could work well. Your carry distance with your 5 iron puts you in an R flex to in between an R and S flex range. Your driver swingspeed about the same. The shafts will get stiffer into the Callaway bore through design unless you make an adjustment to the recommended shaft trimming. For the Callaway bore through irons it is recommended to do 1" less tip trimming then what is recommend to maintain the flex of the shaft. You could tip trim 1/2" less and make the R flex shaft play between and R and S flex.
